The dishwasher does a fair job at cleaning, the silverware does not seem to come clean in all areas. At 46 decibel rating I would expect it to be quieter than our previous model but it is not, so don't let that be a selling point. The inside of the stainless steel door retains marks from the finish detergent and does not look good.

Smells like a sewer after ONE use!

I've waited and waited to get this Bosch. Always thought they would be the best. NOPE. Installed a week ago. Installer ran water through it, I guess, to check for leaks. When I opened the door 2 hours later after getting home from work, the SS interior was still sopping wet. Put a few dishes in there a day later, and stuck my head in a bit to just check things out. Not as wide as other dishwashers!

Love the look (except for at least 1/4" space between the dishwasher and cupboard), love the clean, love the quietness. Had to call Bosch customer service to program changes to end of cycle tone and amount of rinse aid used because the manual was not completely clear but they were great in helping. Took off the cup shelves as they did not allow for proper slant of cups and glasses for drying when in the up position.

Wonderful DW

After a failed attempt at buying and using another brand DW, we were refunded and purchased this Bosch. I have always heard good things about Bosch and was eager to try this one. I couldn't be happier! It is very simple to use and doesn't have a lot of glorified options that aren't really needed. It sanitizes, has auto mode, rinse only, etc. The black color looks great and is easy to clean. Mid price dishwasher

Replaced a higher priced Bosch with a lower price one. Since the expensive one ily lasted 6 years (with two repairs) I decided to quit overpaying. Quite happy with the quiet and it cleans wonderfully!

Worst appliance I've ever owned

I am a professional contractor who remodels Kitchens and baths, I have several customers who recommend Bosch so I decided to try them. My experience... Lasted less than 3 months before it broke. Good Basic Dishwasher

The Kitchen Aid dishwasher that stopped functioning was less than 5 years old. I have always wanted to have a Bosch and have found that it runs well ,is quiet and gets the dishes clean. The interior seems smaller than the KA and therefore has less capacity, also the dishes come out less dry. I do like that the controls are hidden on this Bosch. I would recommend it with the previously mentioned qualifiers.

quiet, but damp

Dries well, but patches are still moist (top rack mostly) unless I click "extra dry." This is true after unloading, looking at remaining water on the walls and door after completing cycle...feels unsanitary (mold, bacteria). Basic available cycles with a little ability to "tune" (adding time, heat, delay, etc.). Interesting to load - comparable load to previous GE dishwasher, but better coverage in water spray. Pleased So Far

I evaluated many dishwashers before deciding to buy the Bosch Ascenta 46-dBA dishwasher. With the installation rebate from Lowes, the purchase decision quickly became a no brainer. This dishwasher has many quality features only found in other brand's models costing nearly twice as much. So far the Bosch has performed great. Dishes are clean, spot free and dry. Not Happy with this Bosch

Worked well for about three months then it stopped draining. The cycle would end, the control would say that the dishes were clean and sanitized but the bottom of the dishwasher was full of water. I went through all of the trouble shooting hints with very little results. It might work well for a couple of washes and then it was back to the same old same old. Water on the bottom. I haven't called the service department yet but I am guessing I will not get much satisfaction from them. The Holiday...

Bosch Dishwasher - good after 2

First, the dishwasher works great. It cleans the dishes well and operates very quietly. Second, the initial dishwasher unit's detergent door did not open, so Bosch and Lowe's replaced the unit at no charge. It took about 3 weeks to get the replacement dishwasher through the warranty process, so we weren't terribly happy about that. Nevertheless, manufactured products do occasionally have defects regardless of the quality of the producer, and we understand that and recommend the product.

Gets the Dishes Clean!

I had a dishwasher with all the bells and whistles before this one. It did a fairly good job, couldn't handle eggs or heavily soiled dishes and only lasted 10 years- even after some repairs. The install was not explained properly. It cost me 125.00 to have a valve replaced that didn't know I WAS BAD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED

Waited too Long to get dishwasher installed!!

This is an awesome dishwasher! It took two weeks for the independent contractor tow bring the dishwasher out and install it. I was not happy about this time at all!!!! I had to call the store several times to find out what was going on. I even stopped in the store once and spoke with someone. This person told me, "well let me see if I can go through management to find out if there is a backdoor into our installation department. There is no one there right now." Broke after 2 months, can't get part

I had this dishwasher for 2 months and it stopped working. I called Lowe's to get it repaired. First they gave the repair facility the wrong number to call me. When the repair facility reached somebody who wasn't me they didn't call Lowe's back to get the right number they blew it off. Super Quiet Dishwasher and Cleans Great!

We had a Bosch dishwasher at our old house that we were happy with so bought this one for our new house. It took a few cycles to get used to it, as we found that you cannot open the dishwasher once you start it because it messes up the cycle. However, once we learned that, we have loved it! It is the most quiet dishwasher EVER! It cleans great and the dishes are mostly dry when they come out.
