What Customers Are Saying
The tile cutter performs well for cutting smaller, thinner ceramic tiles, allowing for clean, straight cuts. Many users found it easy to use, especially for beginners. However, it struggles with larger, thicker porcelain tiles, often cracking or breaking the tiles, especially when making longer cuts. The scoring blade also wears down quickly on porcelain. Overall, the tile cutter is best suited for smaller ceramic tiles, but not recommended for larger or thicker porcelain tiles.

Would RecommendWe could have gotten the tile cut at the store but decided at the last minute we could buy the product for future uses.

Consider This a Disposable Cutter
Would Not RecommendThe cutter worked fine on 20 x 20 inch porcelain tile but had to score 3 times for an even break. Scoring wheel broke on the third tile so I installed the one located in the handle. Went back to Lowe's to buy another but they don't sell them. I'm using this for a 17 x 14 bedroom and 2 bathroom showers. Doubt it will last through the bedroom although I have only 4 tiles left to cut. I have another cutter but can't find scoring wheels for it either. What's up with this? Guess you use the two scori...
Adequate cutter
Would RecommendOverall this is an adequate tile cutter. I purchased for cutting 18x 18 tile (tile also purchased at Lowes). If making a narrow cut, 1" to 2", no matter how many times you score tile, the end away from pressure point will flare and not cut on score. Did well for larger width cuts and narrow cuts on smaller length pieces. Instruction manual does indicate unit will cut down to a 1 inch cut but did not perform well at that width with the full length of the tile.
Limited
Would Not RecommendOnly good for ceramic, went to use on porcelon tile and they kept breaking, went back to store to get correct blade and not available for this product

Complete novice, scored in more ways than one
Would RecommendThis was a very easy tool to use. I had no problems cutting wood grained tile 6x24 on the short side. Did not chip or crack off the score line. The only problem I had was cutting a 1 inch or less piece. I think it was my fault as I don't think I scored deeply enough to constitute a clean break.

Tile cutter
Would RecommendI have only used the cutter on a few tile so far but it has worked exactly as advertised. Very good product and at a fair price. I would recommend this product.

Good for what you get
Would Not RecommendI decided on this product since my DIY job called for only 30 sq ft of bathroom tile and almost entirely square cuts. It clearly will not handle corner cuts or multiple angle cuts so for the one that I had, I just used my grinder with a porcelain tile blade. Otherwise, this worked out fairly well. My only issue is that I fount out early that you need to score the tiles well otherwise you'll waste many of the tiles for lack of a straight cut. I was cutting tile only 6" wide and cannot imagine doi...

Works nicely for some jobs - but not all.
Would RecommendFor installing some ceramic 1/4" mosaic floor tile in my bath, this worked great. Once I figured out the placement on the cutter (just 5-6 attempts) I could even cut 7/8" square pieces in half diagonally. Thought it was the best $20 I've spent. Then I moved upstairs and tried to cut 3/8" porcelain. Wouldn't touch it, even after multiple scorings on both face and back. So I highly recommend it for thinner ceramic tile; it just won't do for thicker, porcelain tile.

Would RecommendHard-headed I thought owning a huge wetsaw was the way to live, but when a client provides materials on the inexpensive side they tend to take precious time cutting straight cuts. Eureka it was this simple all along. I made my investment back in half hour. Thanks for a solid product.

So much faster than a saw for square cuts
Would RecommendI have laid a bit of tile this year, and I started out with just a wet saw, which is ok, but there is a lot of noise, and it is pretty slow, and a pain to keep water at the correct level etc. last job I just bought this snap cutter (after seeing someone on a youtube video use one), and let me tell you, it is amazingly fast, and straight, and good... it isn't going to cut through natural material like slate, but for ceramic and porcelain tiles, it is great... I was able to cut as little as 3/4" ...

Tile cutter
Would RecommendI bought the smaller one expecting to only cut small tiles. We decided to go to a larger tile in the bath. These are great for straight cuts. I recommend scoring with the tool several times before trying to press the tile down to break. I found if you score once they don't break clean. It is not good if you are trying to cut say within 1 to 2 inches from the edge of the tile. Overall I have used the smaller version and this one to complete 1 bedroom, a hall, and 2 baths. blade is still good and ...
