Fine....at first

First few cuts went fine, then it started cutting a gentle arc which made the edges slightly curved. Tried reversing the wheel, but no good. Returned it.

Blue Hawk snap tile cutter

Blue Hawk tile cutter performed extremely well on glass mosaic & ceramic tile. I will continue to employ its use in future jobs with confidence.

Great Tool; Great Price

I have the 14-inch and the 20-inch versions. Both work the same way, and both work well. I used the 14-inch to retile most of a bathtub surround with 8x16 inch tiles, making 8-inch cuts, and never needed to replace the scoring wheel, although there is a spare wheel cleverly stored in the handle. One scoring cut followed by a quick snap and you get a reliable straight cut. The only caution is to make sure the scoring wheel is lined up on your cut line and that your tile is squared up. Gets a cut but not straight

This requires quite a bit of pressure to get the cut and sometimes it won’t be very straight. However, it got the job done.

Used to tile closet - did not cut tiles well, handle bent. Will not cut small 7x7 tiles.

Tiles Won't Snap Because Rails Flex

I bought this along with a wet saw to tile a bathroom floor and shower surround with 1/4" porcelain tile. I was extremely disappointed to find that the rails and the frame were so wimpy that they would just flex and the tile wouldn't snap after I scored it. This would happen on both types of tile I was using (a 10 inch hexagon and a 20x8 inch rectangular tile). I also found that if I tried to score the tile multiple times that the cutter would end up in slightly different places (up to a 1/32 of...

Of course, it could've been the operator, but I broke more tile than I cut with this thing. I ended up just using a masonry cutting wheel on my angle grinder. That one worked like a charm!

Easy to use great product

It is a very easy to use product. It will work best with glass mosaic tile. It doesn't cut stone very well but will cut porcelain and glass like butter. Great for back splash installation.

Wonderful Snap Cutter

I read other reviews saying how easy it was to use this device to cut tile, including glass tile. I tried cutting tile for our kitchen backsplash using various saws, a Dremel Tool, chisel/hammer, … Nothing worked. This device cut the glass tile cleanly with very little effort - amazing! My skepticism turned into joy. I still wasn't able to cut rectangular notches to fit around the electrical outlets, but for straight cuts this is a great, inexpensive tool.

I ctried cutting i piece of tile and the plastic caps over the end where slider bars stop broke. Took back and replaced it a better cutter.
