I had the first Biolite and loved it so much, I wanted the BL2!

Well made, combined with a great idea. I like the items in the bundle and feel it will serve me well. They mention being able to nest the coffee press and the stove in the bottle, I do wish they would provide a video on how to nest all of these items as I haven't been able to accomplish that without damaging the coffee press.

Awesome kit

I like that I don’t have to carry any fuel with me (I can use only what I find in the woods). Can also help to start a fire when temperature is not friendly. Cool bundle, can charge small electronics if needed and the light is very bright and useful. The only cons is that it’s not very light weight.

Love this stove.

These stoves are amazing, simple to use, durable, and really do work very well. They are a little heavy to be used as a back pack stove. But they are fantastic as a base camp, or car camp stove.

Would have been great!

I ordered several products & was super excited about the camp stove. Only to receive mine & right out the box, looks like someone had a fantastic time bending the cover back and forth!

My son said "give BioLite products a try" he was so right!!!! I have made coffee with it while at home and think of things to grill just to use it, because it is good gear and I want to be proficient with it when I go prospecting.

This stove is great

Although it took a bit to figure out, once you get the hang of it this stove is awesome. It eats wood so you have to maintain and check for flame, but it does a great job with the kettle and heating stuff up. The grill is a bit difficult to work with. As the fan blows air in to stoke the fire, most of the heat seems to go towards one side of the opening rather than distribute throughout. Of course there is still heat but not evenly. You have to rotate your food towards the hot spot on the grill....

Amazing to watch it work!

This whole kit is amazing to use and watch. From the min you light the fire, to watching the internal fan get it a blaze. Very easy to use and packs up small for what it is. Ingenious design. I know people complain about the weight but it works great for I use it for! Keep up the great work!

No more hotels!

Driving across the country I realized after my first night in a hotel that I was wasting money! I was using the hotel to charge my phone and laptop and to use hot water... second day on the road I used the camp stove to cook, make coffee, charge everything, and bathe. Crazy how efficient this little bugger was!! Here's a tip... once you get the fire going, put your water on... it makes the stove charge faster (more heat I would guess...). This gadget will save your skin

I was out turkey hinting when I suddenly swamped my precious Jeep Cherokee in a deceptively deep puddle. Once we hitchhiked our way back to camp, our phones we're nearly dead. Luckily I saved my Biolite 2 from the flooded car and was able to trickle charge my phone so we could call someone to get us out. I burned some funky wood to charge it up so the nice brushed steel finish isn't shiny any more, but I'll never camp without it. 10/10

Perfect for Disaster Planning/Preparation

We don't do a lot of camping but I purchased the CampStove bundle as a disaster preparedness item. The plain simpleness of burning wood to make a fire, to cook a meal and creating electricity to recharge...whatever...is genius. In the 2017 hurricane that devastated Puerto Rico, 90% of the power grid was wiped out for almost a year and the only way to recharge their phones in order to communicate with family and friends was by waiting hours in line to get gasoline to start their cars or generato...

Better than the original!

I purchased the original CampStove back in 2012 and it's still working great. The internal battery pack and charging system continue to work! That's a testament to the quality of BioLite products. I just purchased the CampStove 2 bundle with the grill, kettle, and LED lamp. I love the improvements to the CampStove 2! The LED panel lights are a great addition. I love the extra fan speeds. Prep and camping

I have now bought a set for ourselves, and our two adult children. I feel relieved knowing that in an emergency we have a source to quickly boil water and charge devices. Our one child is going to use for camping. This just gives such a sense of relief. I so appreciate that pine cones, straw, twigs etc can all be used. Thanx to those who post experiences and cautions, like not putting light on bottom!

Hardwood griller

Got the midnight edition and love the look of both the energy pod and the cup details. Took a few fires to understand the importance of start small build hot fast using speed 3 or 4 to stoke the flames hot. Needs constant fuel so have a selection of small to large sticks, branches, twigs or kindling. It cooks very well but need to understand the grill's cooking zones. I used shop cutoffs of maple and black Walnut for the recent four burger grill.

Love this thing

I bought it mainly as a disaster-preparedness tool, but a friend has one and we use it backpacking all the time. We've built tarp shelters in deep winter, in rain, and yet underneath we have a fire stoked, cooking, keeping things charged, and keeping us warm with a handful of wood chunks. At home I use it for roasting peppers to make hummus. It excels at that! It's heavy for backpacking but you NEVER run out of fuel, and it heats the inside of your tarp regardless of weather. Make camping different.

What a great tool. Hot coffee in 5 minutes. Light, while you're cooking trout on the gill for dinner. Charge your cell phone, cook and light your campsite with duff. Very Cool!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son and daughter in-law. They love to go backpacking/ camping and I think this is perfect for them. I love the lightweight simplicity and amazing technology combined in this unit. Very excited to see their reactions to it. I am also excited to check out some of the other solar products in the future and love the give back this company provides to those in need of solar energy in the world.

Hot shore lunch

Purchased this to keep in my drift boat for cooking a hot meal quickly on the side of a river. Compact and fits under the seat. Starts quick and plenty of surface for brats, burgers, kabobs for 2-3 people. Cools down fast and ready for storage in a couple minutes. Charges my phone and speaker to keep going the rest of the day.

new and first time

We took our stove out for its first run this past weekend, we are quad enthusiasts. The CampStove was perfect we do our best to limit weight and it is very light and we look for functionality which it has, it boiled water like it cooked our dinner. The only thing we found is that feeding it wood was not always easy so we are going to look into pellets. Thank you for the product and would recommend it to any one, perfect for those quick and simple get aways.
