Would Not RecommendWhen I got the first one home I found it was difficult to turn off. In fact, if I turned the gas 'full on', clicked the trigger to light it, it would never turn off with the trigger. When I adjusted the gas to around 50% it might turn off with one attempt... or several. Also, I could hear gas escaping once I got it off. Then I would have to turn the dial to the off position. NOT IMPRESSED! So I exchanged it for another one. Got it home and it did exactly the same thing. Returned that one too.

Would Not RecommendI saw this on "This Old House" and thought I needed one! Well, the flame came in handy for what I was doing. I thought I was getting the torch that would open the valve and spark the fire when yo pull the trigger, and then put out the fire and close the valve when you let off the trigger... Nope, this is a 2 handed operation, you gotta turn the gas on... (Which requires holding it in your noon dominant hand, and turning the gas on with your dominant hand), then when you're don't, you have to t...

Would Not RecommendI had the torch sitting on the table and it fell over when table was bumped. As it hit the table surface, it came totally apart. Took me about 15 min to figure out how to put it back together. Now that it is back together, it now feels flimsy.

The BernzOmatic torch works very well on small projects requiring a propane torch. I used it to loosed a hose coupling that was frozen on an outdoor faucet and it worked very well. This torch his not intended for heavy commercial use. It is ideal for the home owner who has the skills to use a propane torch.
