Great alarm!

I use this underneath my aquarium in case the sump filter overflows for some reason. I put it in a catch-tray I have underneath the sump. It has already saved my carpet from getting wet!!

Excellent. Works great. Very loud

This sensor had alerted me several times already. Once when the air-conditioner was putting out condensate and flooded the area with 1/4 inch of water. Twice when my sump pump's float switch was obstructed and failed to run. Two more times when the sump pump failed completely. Believe me it is loud at 110 decibel; I can here it easily through the vents on the second floor.

excellent water alarm

these little devices are magic - they sound an alarm when the bottom or contacts get wet, just like a smoke alarm would detect smoke. I have one under every sink, and every other water fixture (hot water heater, dishwasher, washing machine...) great peace of mind, since water leaks can be so destructive. wish they were better publicized!

Works great!

Basement flooded three time in recent days before we new it. now the alarm goes off with as little as a cup of water on the floor giving us enough time to stop any damage. for the price and battery life you can not aford not to have this peace of mind great product!!!

NOT A GOOD DESIGN

The legs are higher then the sensors, therefore allowing water to run under sensors without setting alarm off. Buy an alarm with sensors having ground contact.

Priceless Rescue

Bought this as a precautionary measure for an old water heater and it sat silent for over a year. One night it sounded off just as our water heater failed and proceeded to dump 40 gallons of water onto the basement floor. This device saved us an told amount of money as we were able to remedy the issue immediately. Can't give this lil' device enough praise. And trust I'd pay more for one that shared a notification to my smart phone.

works as promised

works per claim ,if you want better sensor coverage you need to spend more and purchase the honeywell or similar which has the entire wire that is a sensor and not just the end of the wire sensor.

Good, sensible purchase

This is a good product that may save the purchaser some hefty costs and a lot of hassle. My only suggestions for improvement are with the written instructions, which don't even suggest that the alarm be tested. Additionally, it should be easier to open the case to insert the battery. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with this product.

Water Detector

Purchased two of these and have installed one under my hot water heater, and one in my crawl space. I tested them out and they seems to detect even a little amount of water pretty well, but time will tell as how well they work if and when a leak occurs.

WATER ALARM

Bought one at the recommendation of a neighbor... To test I licked my index finger and placed finger across both contact,, It sounded the alarm.. Placed near hot water heater and sump pump.. Let's hope it works, if needed...

Compact and effective

It was easy to do and I pre-tested it and it works. Feel comfortable now that it is next to my hot water heater.

A must have

It paid for itself quickly after the sink drain worked loose in the kitchen, the alarm worked early enough to only need a touch of paint in the ceiling of the room below. Not too long after that a hose in the water heater developed a small hole, and I heard the beep in the garage through the utilities room door. Somewhat untried, but hopeful

I have not actually utilized it in the sense that I've not had a leak that tripped the alarm. . . But am hopeful that when we do have a link, it will apprise us of the event!

Warning Deafening Product - 110 Decibles VERY LOUD

I was worried about not hearing this alarm from my second floor master bed (opposite end of the house from sump pump in basement). I'm slightly deaf from testing this product. Nothing's better sounding than your sump pump running and this product! I have a back up battery and spare pump sitting next to my pit just in case she blows. Easy and effective

I would recommend this for anyone who wants to have extra precautions in case of a leak. i used mine on my sump pump crock. I put the unit along the wall and hung the sensor just above the sump pump. I secured the wire with duct tape.

Water Leak Alarms can a save lots of misery

I have purchased several different brands over the past 5 years. This unit is by far the best design. I have one under every potential leak area. Having experienced the pain and suffering of a major water leak that took months to repair these really are worth their weigh in gold.
