Work Great

These are very inexpensive insurance against basement flooding. I put one in my sump pit. I strapped it to the outlet pipe just a few inches above the float. It should alert me before the water rises above the sump pit. Also put one next to my water heater. I tested them in my sink. Just a very small amount of water set them off.

Cheap Insurance From Water Damage.

Works as advertised and alarms once a water leak makes it to the alarm. I installed one under the sink by a laundry pump and when the pump container seal leaked because the pump failed I was alerted in time to prevent damage.

Wish I found it sooner!

This is the best $15 I have ever spent. If too much detergent is added to our washing machine it will overflow the drain pipe. This happen multiple times. A trip to Lowes to pick up one of these and no more laundry surprises. It beats buying a new machine which was our next move!

This dog paid off last night at 2345. Insurance company owes the maker of this product a thank you, the water line that feeds the refrigerator in this brand new live oak home come apart and this alarm went off.

Just Saved Me Thousands of Dollars

I installed this alarm after a family member had a catastrophic flood due to a failure in their sump pump. I bought the Basement Watchdog and installed it in my sump so that I would get an alarm if pump stopped working. Heavy rains last night. This morning a 110 db screech pierced my house. Great gadget!

I was thinking of making an alarm out of an electronic bicycle horn & then found this . I built a box out of scrap to hold the gadget without connecting any wires to the alarm and have it in an elevated place where it wouldn't get drowned or crushed. I put two hex bolts through the bottom of the box & the sensors sit on top of the bolts which I filed flat on top for a better connection. Exactly what I was looking for. Tested it out on a minimal amount of water and it went off as advertised. Easy to use alarm is quite loud.

Great battery life at 5 years according to company. Takes one 9 volt battery. We bought 7 @ a total of $100 plus or minus. We put them near pipes throughout house. Fortunately we haven't had any water leaks but we do have peace of mind in case something happens. Small enough to fit in tight spaces.

First of all I have to let you know I am a professional. I like this product for the price and reliability as long as you change the battery's on a regularly scheduled basis

These alarms are easy to install and much cheaper than having to replace a floor due to a water leak.
