This is a good light weight, battery powered weed eater and edger. Works great!

Weed eater and batteries.

I actually needed to replace my 20 volt batteries. I discovered I could replace an older B&D weed eater that used 18 volt batteries by buying this weed eater which came with the 2 20 volt batteries. For what I paid for this weed eater it does a good job, maybe not for real thick and high weeds but does an ok job fro the light work stuff and the new batteries seem to really last a long time. Would buy this again.

Bad product

Stopped working in less than a year. Not as much power as the last one I had.

Works great, hard to start

Weedeater works great, but, it is difficult to start. You need to hold in an unlock button while holding the start trigger. It is difficult to hold both as one is on the top and the other on the under side. I like my older model better. Also, when I try to feed more string it cuts the power to the unit and I need to restart.

Garbage

Bought this style B&D about two years ago and probably used it maybe 20 times and stopped working unless you banged the side where the trigger mechanism is located then it comes on but have to bang the side each time. Designed to fail. Will never buy B&D crap again.

Battery doesn't last long enough to do large areas

I previously owned and wanted to be able to use my extra batteries. It is light weight and easy to hold and has sufficient power to cut weeds as well as grass. I used mine in wet grass many times and still had no issues.

This is my 2nd one!

I bought my first one about 5 years ago and it is still going strong. I love it so much and was afraid they would stop making this exact one so I did my research and found it again so I got it to have the extra. Other than the price was higher now of course, it's the same weed eater. So I am thrilled.

Good value, works well for lighter duty

Comes with 2 batteries and charger. The 20V seem to last longer than the older 18V and are lighter so the wacker is overall lighter. Two speeds-- 1 for light duty and pure grass, 2 for more power and heavier weeds and quack grass. Just to get through the job faster I'll likely use 2 most of the time. Battery is good even on 2 for at least 15 minutes v older 18V maybe 10 minutes. Handle is comfortable-- and other reviewer saying you have to hold down two button while working is incorrect. You ...

20V Cordless Black & Decker String Trimmer

Had mine for about three years. This year the first failure was the string base. Easy fix. Now the trigger isn't engaging. It started acting up earlier this year where once in a while it wouldn't start, release the lock and try again. Now nothing.

Very reliable trimmer

I like that it is light weight. I had the same model for about 6 years until it gave out. If this one lasts as long I will be happy. I mow about 1 3/4 acres about 3-4 times a year. I don’t like the 2 Ah battery that comes with the trimmer or the line. I have purchased several 5Ah batteries and line spools that I load with 0.65 twisted line, that works better for me.

Great value in a battery powered trimmer

The battery operated trimmer is a lot easier to move around the yard than my corded one. It is easy to switch back and forth between trimming and edging. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase but I do wish the batteries lasted longer than 20 min so it's a good thing it came with two of them.
