Guard cover on weed trimmer.

The guard cover won’t slip on easily, or evenly, so afraid I will break it by forcing it on. No instructions, just a bunch of number, and can’t find guide for those numbers.

Used for 5 min then it quit seams to be a bad switch

Good value for the money.

It was a nice improvement over my previous Black and Decker and the same batteries came with it, so I now have 4 batteries.

Nice no frills but short battery life...

Easy to use. Not a bunch of accessories that attach and detach every time u wanna trim something. Basic no frills that gets the job done. Only drawback is battery life is short.

Worked for Years

I used this machine for about 4 years before the trigger finally gave out and it won't turn on anymore. It started causing problems about 3 years in. I'll probably replace it with the same model because it works so well.

1.5 Ah battery vs the old 2.5 Ah battery

I used this product for four years until I finally beat it to death. The 2.5 Ah battery would get me through 35-40 minutes of work until I had to replace it. I recently purchased a new unit, and didn't realize the battery is only 1.5 Ah. I got through 15 minutes of edging, and the battery died. I installed the second battery, and got 12 minutes out of it. I used one the (2.5Ah) batteries from my old unit, and it cranked for close to 40 minutes until I was done. This is a great product, but...

Bad

The batteries lose their charge after just a few minutes of trimming. I do not recommend buying this product.

Trigger mechanism design fault - otherwise good

Have used a variety of B & D tools for many years and have been generally well pleased. My B & D 20V Max string trimmer (LST522) gave up the ghost this afternoon due to the trigger not fully engaging. From reading other reviews I see this is a relatively common problem and is not owner repairable. Too bad. I used it almost weekly for 3 years. Needs a trigger design engineering fix. Easy operation

Easy to use with very little setup. The automatic string feed by pushing button as needed is smooth. This is my second B&D trimmer in 9 years. The two rechargeable batteries last until my trimming is complete.

87yo cutting front yard of mountain home.

I am 87yo and just had my first use of this product at my 2nd home in the Poconos. I am 5'8", 155 lbs. The ground is rocky and not flat with "natural" grass. Cut the grass around the drainage ditch in front. Of course the first use took a while to get comfortable, but it did what I needed. My only wish is that the LOCK button was bigger since I was wearing heavy leather gloves and a larger button would have made its use easier. Battery life

The batteries seem to give out quickly which I find very unusual since my 20 year old weed eater’s battery lasts longer than the new one.

Darn trigger issue - again!

Just like many others mentioned the trigger is such a big issue! I have loved using this for the past 2 1/2 years and have recommended it to so many people. It's lightweight, easy to use, and love the fact that it uses a battery and not gas or electric.
