Great small trimmer edger

I'm a petite person, and my previous trimmer was great but taller than I am, so I had to hold it in an awkward way that got heavy after a while. This one is smaller and also has a small wheel that helps keep it steady when edging. Plus the end flips from regular trimming to edging. I have a big sidewalk area and did have to switch batteries to finish the job. I was worried it might be under-powered, but it did just as well as my 40 volt trimmer.

It does the job

Light weight, easy to use with strong cutting power. Was able to edge driveway , walkways, gardens and entire house perimeter with leftover charge. Edge roller works great.

Excellent trimmer, easy to use

Had to replace old Black & Decker trimmer and had used for over 6 years without a problem I decided to replace with same model

The shaft doesn't adjust as far as the older one.

Had a similar (older) version of this that finally gave up the ghose. This one is lighter but uses the same batteries, so it's a win-win!

Slow Going

As I hoped, unit is lightweight even with the battery installed. Handles good. Only problem is trimming is slow going. Single line and not fast revolution makes for harder trimming.

Cool

It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, comes with 2 batteries which I thought was a bonus although it takes a while to charge them and do not last very long, has an easy feed button for trim string without tapping on ground no issues yet on that, the edger works fairly well when flipped around to do so but I think that when doing the edging that is what drains batteries faster? I surprised by the price for what you get all in all my wife will be using more than me as this is great for women in gen...

Light weight, comes with one roll of string

I’m a female and I’ve actually only used a weed eater once before and thought “ How in the world does these work “ lol and happily left that job to the men! Now that I have to do my own lawn work I decided I’d to give it one more try, this black and decker is amazingly easy to operate and very light weight. I picked up right away without even needing a man around, lol. I actually did my whole yard the first time I tried it. I hope this made some of you laugh. I was excited though!

Bad Handle

The handle will not stay in place. It keeps slipping after about a minute of use.

Buy a couple of extra's.

Buying an extra spool cap will save the day. If you hit an area that's a little much for the trimmer it will break. Having a second battery is nice if you have a large area. If you do not it is not needed. The battery lasts a good amount of time. Charges are a bit slow though.

Good product for women.

I like the fact it is light weight and the batteries hold a good charge for as long as I need them.

Make sure box was never opened before

Battery pack doesn't last long. Wrote to black & decker and waiting for replacement. Hopefully those will be better. The battery packs looked used so not surprised if someone had bought this before me, swapped the battery packs and then returned it to Lowe's...
