All that I hoped for

I was so tired of pulling cords and messing with gas, so I tried this product. It worked great plenty of battery life and cut high weeds. I used it for 45 min at half power and it cut everything and still had battery. Great product!

Best buy ever.

The 30 minutes use of the battery is just fine with me since that's about all I can do at a time. I'm 63 and female. After three uses, I find no fault with the B&D 36-volt 13-in trimmer.

got the job done

I never thought I would buy a battery powered trimmer, but the gas trimmers that I have had are too heavy, and cut my legs when I use them. With the electric trimmers, you have to fuss with the cord. This trimmer did a great job and the battery lasted beyond what was needed to trim our yard. We have .41 acres, and it trimmed along the driveway and the sidewalk. I am so glad I finally decided to buy a battery powered trimmer.

Best trimmer I've owned.

I had a Sear's Craftsman electric trimmer for about 15 years until it finally developed enough issues that I had to discard it and start shopping for a new one. I literally went through about 5 trimmers in 3 years discarding them for various reasons; eating through line way too quickly, breaking line and sending out pieces like shrapnel, requiring a Ph. D. in engineering to figure out how to change the trimmer spool. I was beginning to think I would never find something that I liked ever again. ...

Novel idea, bad attempt

Fresh out of the box and after charging the battery overnight, we got about 30 minutes use out of it before the battery ran out. The angle of the cutting head is at an unconventional weird angle. Do more research and opt for another type if you're in the market.

Pretty Awesome...

I really hesitated on this purchase. I read reviews here and at other sites and found very few bad reviews. So I jumped on this one. What a great choice! This trimmer is awesome. Good trimmer

So far the trimmer is doing everything I want it to do. My only criticisms would be that I thought the battery would last longer(it lasts about 35 min.) and the price($179) is a little high. Having said all that I would still buy it because of convenience and ease of use. I have 5 acres of land, 2 cleared.

Best weed eater EVER

I was skeptical about an electric weedeater since we live in the country and have alot of Weed eating to do but due to having shoulder surgery and needing something light and one that I Didn't have to pull a cord to start I chose this one and to my relief it is very light, powerful enough to tackel the weed eating down at the barn as well as the house and the battery lasts long enough to finish the job. Very very pleased with it

Great for small yard

Weed whacking without a cord is fabulous. If you have a small yard and the weeds aren't too extensive, this product is great. It is light weight and the battery is easily removed and replaced. My yard is medium sized and the battery doesn't last to complete the job, even when placed on a lower energy setting. I'm considering buying a second battery so I don't have to recharge midway through my yard work. Also, if you have extensive or heavy weeding to do, the gas trimmer is the way to go.

Much improved

I had the older model of this trimmer that used a non-lithium ion battery. I was not happy with that one at all because the battery regularly died very quickly. I keep the variable setting around 1 or 2 and I'm able to do all my trimming and edging no problem. I really didn't want to go with gas or electric and was very happy to come across this one in the store. So far very glad I purchased it.

Low useage time

This is a very nice trimmer. Lightweight and easy to use. I could only rate it three stars due to the longevity of the battery between charges. If you have a small yard this is an excellent trimmer. If you have a yard of any size you will need at least two batteries or it will take you days to finish up the trimming. The battery has a charge of only about 15 minutes and then it dies and needs to be recharged.

Great Battery and Ease of use

I use to have a gas Trimmer and disliked mixing the oil with gas, also was hard to get started. Got the Lithium (38V) Battery Black and Decker, and it is so easy to start up and use. After using around the yard, charging battery only takes about 10-15 minutes.

Early days

Although I have only had this tool less than a week, I really like it. It has the power of a gas powered trimmer, but is much more convenient. The adjustable speed is also a good feature. The only drawback is the cutting string does not self feed by hitting the ground. However this is somewhat mitigated by the relative durability of the large diameter twine.

36 volt 13 inch straight cordless string trimmer a

This item performs exactly as advertised. I can do all the trimming on my place and still have battery life left. the trimmer is lightweight and handles easily. I definitely recommend it. In addition, I don't have to mess with gasoline and 2 cycle oil.
