Unit is 3 1/2 years old . Battery is fully charged, however unit is working properly only for bout 20-30 seconds after that seams to be losing power. Powering on and off the unit gives another 20 seconds of use. By switching on and off it can function like this for some time.

Battery Doesn't Charge
Would Not RecommendWhen new, this vacuum did a decent job. However, after just a few uses, either the charger or the battery has stopped working correctly. After leaving it on the charger overnight, the vacuum only operates weakly for a few minutes. I would change the battery if I could, but that doesn't seem to be an option.

Would RecommendI bought it specifically for more frequent vacuuming my car (my powerful Dyson is corded and not convenient to use often). I have only used it once. Pretty strong suction. The battery lasted long enough for my quick cleaning. Great Suction - Terrible Battery Life
Suction is great, it's easy to clean, it has a brush & suction extender, it's lightweight. As indicated in other reviews, the battery life is terrible. If you get 8 minutes out of it, you're lucky. I purchased this (w/out reading the reviews first) because I read a review from the NYTimes (?) of the best cordless vac.
