I purchased this post after my mailbox was blown down one windy night. Installation and set up were easy enough as the directions were clear and had pictures that were helpful. The reason for the 3 stars, is that the upper part of the post has a lot of movement. I tightened everything down, but this has not corrected what I believe to be a flaw in the product. Overall, for the price, I am satisfied with my purchase. If you are looking for an inexpensive mailbox post, this will work.

a bit light weight
Would RecommendEasy to install but a little flimsy for the size box I bought. Would be a great item for a regular size and weight box. Don't have to worry about it rotting as it is metal.
Not the best option for mailboxes
Would Not RecommendI found this to be difficult to erect. I had chosen this as opposed to one that would require digging a post hole, to try to make it easier to put up. I was disappointed. Also, it did not fit well with the mailbox I purchased.

Would RecommendThis mailbox post can accommodate just about any style of mailbox. The mount for the mailbox has two pieces that allow the larger and wider mailboxes to be mounted. Remove these pieces and the mount fits standard and smaller mailboxes. The post is somewhat small and you will have a little challenge supporting this small diameter post in a hole while filling it with concrete. There is a good supply of hardware for mounting different mailboxes but not much to aid you getting this thing firmly supp...

The top plate made of ABS plastic. At first I didn’t expect much of this product however after closer examination I was fairly impressed.
