NOT VERY STURDY

I WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS MAILBOX POST. THE SCREW HOLES DON'T LINE UP WHICH CAUSES THE MAILBOX ATTACHED TO BE VERY UNSTABLE. DON'T BUY.

Poor pole design

Like another reviewer said the pole is poorly designed. Had it installed for about 6 months and once a week I need to tighten the screws that connect the two poles together. It turns and wobbles. Would not recommend purchasing.

Good looking post

Very easy to assemble XL mailbox; however, the top post can be spun around as it isn’t fixed to the bottom post; the connector inside the post doesn’t secure the post. It looks great with the box so I’ll see if it lasts. I may get black electrical tape to secure the seam between the posts to keep the top post straight.

Wobbly Post

Easy to set up BUT the two pieces do not stay together tightly so the top part which is attached to the mailbox is wobbly and spins around! Really hope this last longer than a month or so.

Simple, sturdy, affordable

I bought the post along with the Architectural Mailboxes box to replace my mother-in-law's dilapidated wooden post. It was easy to assemble and install and looks very sharp. Bought a second for my own house. A great, affordable solution.

Easy replacement, easy install

I live in wetlands so my old wooden post rotted out in a few years. This post is great because it can handle the water without deteriorating (according to the manufacturer...) It was easy to dig the hole and I mixed the concrete in the hole. The pole is easy to level and is tall enough to meet any height needed. I'll update if it shows signs of rust in the first year.

Cheap. Cheap. Cheap.

Absolute garbage. It's been installed w/a new mailbox for a total of 2 months now & the two parts don't stay together with any firmness. The mailbox spins around due to the poor design of the connector. No way to retighten it & now have to figure a way to get it to stay stationary. Cheap junk.

A good, round post

This worked great for my mailbox installation (in a concrete sidewalk). Note that if you use steel bolts through the bottom of the post in order to mount to a pedestal, be careful not to over tighten them, as they will warp the post. Otherwise, the steel post is robust and of good quality, for its price.

Sturdy and Stylish

The post assembled quickly using the easy to understand instructions. I installed my post in concrete this evening after work and this took all of "maybe" 30 minutes, including the digging of the hole. All-in-all this should take a few of hours from start to finish. Looks great!
