Fixed ghost flush
Ordered. Received within 72 hours. Changing this seal required all of 10 minutes. Twisting the "screw" was the only really hard part and required using pliers. Ghost flushing fixed. Anyone can do this.

It’s kind of involved just to replace a gasket. The company should include the very small cotter pin. My pin is very rusted. But once the seal is replaced the toilet works like it’s brand new.

No More Ghost Flushes
I watched a couple online videos to learn how to install this gasket. The process was easy and took minutes to complete. The ghost flush problem was gone! I fixed two toilets in under a half an hour. It's important to use genuine American Standard products so you don't have to repeat this process too often. I learned from the online videos that using knock offs did not have lasting results.

Would RecommendThe replacement seal temporarily cures flush valve leaks. The seal kit is fine. The flush valve design is terrible. It is unclear whether a different seal material would last longer. The toilet will be replaced early with a different brand due to the poor flush valve design and performance.
Gasket works as advertised
Easy to install, make sure to tighten the top screw until it “clicks”. Both the gasket and the “O” ring work well. The toilet no longer shadow flushes. Would recommend.

Regret Buying American Standard Commodes
Would Not RecommendI made the mistake of buying 6 American Standard commodes that require the Champion 4 inch seal. In the last 7 years, I have replaced all of them at least once, and some more than that. It is astonishing that here in the 21st Century a company like American Standard would produce such shoddy junk, and then abandon their customers. I will NEVER buy anything of theirs again.
