Ratings & Reviews for American Standard Replacement Sealant For Flush Valve Champi
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Many customers report successful repairs using genuine replacement seals, with improved fit and material quality compared to aftermarket alternatives. However, a significant portion experience recurring leaks or phantom flushing despite replacements, with some reporting failures within weeks or months. Several note the issue stems from fundamental flush valve design rather than seal quality alone. While some find temporary success, the pattern of repeated failures has led many to distrust the brand and consider switching to alternative products entirely.

color description
Would RecommendI did receive two of them and the only thing wrong was the description, it is not blue it is clear.
Easy to install
Would RecommendIt's easy to install. I only gave it a 3 star review because it's the original equipment manufacturer's brand. We have only had the toilet a year and it failed after a single year. If that is the expected lifetime for this piece of equipment, then it actually deserves a lower rating.

Finally
Would RecommendI've tried 2 different valve seals on the toilet with no success. The leak actually was worse. When I ordered the OEM seal, the leak into the toilet finally stopped

Bleach Tank Tablets
Would RecommendHad to replace this O ring last week. A great toilet that I purchased from Loew's but after a few months the toilet started running and stopping (filling) every minute or so. I took the ring to a plumbing store and the guy told me that by using the bleach tablets you throw in the tank it will degrade this O ring quickly. He is right, I used two (one at a time) of the Clorox brand tabs and dropped them in the tank. Two tabs and I had to replace. Lesson: don't use Clorox tabs.
Easy to install
Would RecommendBought an off brand, toilet still leaked. Went online, direct from the manufacturer was more expensive than Lowes.

The part was delivered the day after I ordered. It was a quick, easy and inexpensive fix to an annoying problem! Just remember you might need to lift the green piece inside the flush valve up and realign it with the top piece after replacing the seal. I screwed the two pieces together with the lock nut before putting everything back down into the flush valve.
