Ratings & Reviews for American Standard Replacement Sealant For Flush Valve Champi
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Many customers report successful repairs using genuine replacement seals, with improved fit and material quality compared to aftermarket alternatives. However, a significant portion experience recurring leaks or phantom flushing despite replacements, with some reporting failures within weeks or months. Several note the issue stems from fundamental flush valve design rather than seal quality alone. While some find temporary success, the pattern of repeated failures has led many to distrust the brand and consider switching to alternative products entirely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced seal with new red ones leaks after 4 hrs. Need new top section that holds the seal. I have theses same toilets in Wi and have had no trouble.

DO NOT ORDER PRODUCT BECAUSE OF WRONG DESCRIPTION
Would Not RecommendThis is the 2nd time that I ordered this product and DID NOT RECEIVE THE RIGHT PRODUCT. I received a 4 INCH RED RUBBER FLUSH VALVE. The description and what I received was WRONG FOR THE 2ND TIME! BOO!

Ring seal is the key
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the seal and ring seal to have on hand since I’ve now installed 2 of the Champion 4 toilets in my home. It was the ring seal that was apparently leaking because replacing just the large seal didn’t solve the problem.

Don’t buy the champion model toilet.
I hate this model toilet. Constant problems of the leaking by the flapper assembly. Change out the seal and o-ring and within a week it starts leaking again. Poor design !

Improved material?
Well, they aren't blue anymore, theyre a clay red, but I think they feel a tiny bit heavier, so I'm hoping theyre tougher that the originals that would tend to blister and cause leaks.

Buy 2 they dont last long, and are hard to get
Would RecommendI ordered blue got clear silicone don't know if that's a good thing or not we'll see. Order communications were questionable at best seem there was vender issues and no one passed that alone to me. At least the locker at Lowes worked well and i did not have to waist time in the store or in line.

Replacement Seal Doesn't Work!
Your replacement flush valve seal doesn't work. You sent me a red seal to replace the blue colored seal that worked for over 2 years. Please send another blue seal ASAP!

Made the leak worse
Would Not RecommendI have a bad seal on my Champion Toilet. Proven by turning the water off and watching it slowly drain to the seal. I put this new seal in and the leak was way worse. I tried it in both directions no difference. I had to put the old seal back in and go to the slow leak until the American Standard parts arrive.
Why doesn’t American Standard provide free seals?
I don’t understand why American Standard continues to sell seals that inevitably fail and require replacement; I have to replace the seals in my 3 Champion toilets at least once a year. Obviously, there is a design/manufacturing flaw. It is unfortunate that owners of AS toilets are forced to pay for replacement seals as a result of negligence in the part of AS.

Solved my constantly running water problem
After installing this kit my Champion 4 toilet is no longer constantly running water. It is important that when installing the small o-ring to make sure you hear at least one click when tightening the cap the o-ring is attached to.
