No Drain Pump Clean-Out!

I am a retiree who just purchased this washer. The price was great, or so I thought. I realized that there is no drain pump clean out for self maintenance. That means that every few months, I will have to call a repair man to do that maintenance at whatever cost, which over the life of this machine, will cost me so much more. So dissapointed, buyer beware

I bought this Amana front load washer to replace my old Amana front load washer that I bought over 10 years ago. My old Amana front load washer was the best washer I have ever owned ever in 50+ years of doing laundry. My old Amana would still be going strong, all it needed was a new boot (seal) inside the door, but I decided for the cost of replacing the door seal I would just take advantage of the sale and get a nice new Amana washer. Purchased this washer 9 months ago, everything was working great until the display panel stopped working. It'll wash, just cannot see the count down or how long the cycle will take.

Takes a while to get service tech to fix a problem

I've not been able to use the washer. My husband got it hooked up, and it won't take in water. Yes, the water comes into the hose, just not the machine. I'm sure when it gets fixed, it will be great. We've always been pleased with all of our appliances from Lowe's. The only problem I have at the moment is that I have to wait up to 7 business days for someone to email me, to make an appointment for a service person to come check out my new washer.

A fully functioning washer in a smaller size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is programmable on many levels. The clothes are sparkling clean. It fits in a smaller space than most washers so is perfect for those with limited space. Perfect as a second washer in a master bathroom.

Buy seperate stackable units versus one-piece

Product is a much better option then the attached stackable unit. Larger interior so less loads to run. Quiet. Lowes is excessive in charging for installation parts- too many of them- and for pickup $40 each unit. Best to recycle units on your own- consider metal recycler or used apppliance store

My Amana

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good washer. The only thing that I do not like is the play switch. When you want to start the washer you may have to open and close the door several times. Also the regular and normal cycles are the same so I am not sure why this machine has both. Neither of these things affect how the machine washes clothes. Overall, it is a good washing machine and I would buy it again.
