What Customers Are Saying

The adjustable jack post is generally an effective and affordable solution for supporting sagging floors, beams, and other structural issues. Many found it easy to install and adjust, and it was able to stabilize and lift their floors as needed. The product is described as sturdy and functional, though some noted the header/footer plates are thin. Customers appreciated the adjustability, which allowed them to fine-tune the height as required, and several mentioned using it to temporarily support structures during repairs. However, a few cautioned that the adjustment mechanism needs to be handled carefully to avoid pinching fingers. Overall, the jack post seems to be a practical and budget-friendly option for homeowners dealing with structural problems, though the quality of some components may be a concern for more heavy-duty or long-term use.

Quality product, good price

I bought one of these stanchions to test it in application, one person could get the job done, but easier and faster with two people. When extended around the 6.5 to 7 foot range only one hole for cross bolt will line up. Otherwise to get full capacity you will have to drill extra holes once you know your required setting. When applying the jack post (stanchion) it is easier to have the adjustment screw on the bottom near the floor, although I see in photos where it is applied both ways. I read ...

So easy!

Would Recommend

I installed this in my cellar, under my living room. The living room floor had a slight "bounce" to it when we walked across the center of the room. I installed this myself with only a wrench and a step ladder. It took all of 5 minutes from start to finish. The parts were well made and the instructions were simple. It's was so easy! And the living room floor is very sturdy now.

My hubby and I are no handymen, but it was easy to use this to prop up our old house. 10 minutes to go from box to beam. Now our bedroom doors close. Should have done this ages ago.

I used four steel post jacks on my front porch, because I needed to replace seven rotted wooden posts And replace the railings With PVC. I jacked up the roof very easily and safely.

Holds up my house!

Would Recommend

Used these jacks to level a sinking bathroom floor in my 30+ year-old home. The previous owner had installed a new toilet and, for some unknown reason, had cut right through a floor joist to run the plumbing. I could not replace the joist without replacing all the plumbing, so I used 2 of these jacks to raise the floor after blocking the neighboring joists together. They worked great and the floor is super-sturdy now. A little cumbersome to put together but a very sturdy, solid product!

good value for lightweight product

Would Recommend

This product would be better if the top and bottom were able to be fixed to the jack. Each time I had to move it, the top and/or bottom would come off. Overall I was satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it except in the case of someone needing a more permanent application.

Perfect solution for additional support

Would Recommend

The floor jacks were the perfect solution for the additional support I need to use the attic of my workshop for storage. A simple 2X8 beam with these floor jacks greatly increased the load bearing capacity of my attic.

Unimpressed

Would Not Recommend

The product package was undamaged yet the outer tube had been damaged before packaging. It was significantly ovaled to the point that the inner tube would not slip inside it. Fortunately I was able to reshape the tube in a vise. Additionally, the jackscrew threads were damaged which required reforming to allow the jack to operate smoothly.
