Powerful Auger!

This auger is very powerful! It dug through not only the dirt but also the rocks as well without any trouble! It was easy to start and also very easy to put together. The blades also seem to be high quality! Would recommend!

Buyer Beware

After only 1 use, the auger I purchased will not work. It worked fine during the first use and then sat for 2 weeks. When I attempted to restart to finish my project, the auger boggs down and will not operate. I've been contacting the customer service number 1-855-691-5969 for 2 weeks, I've contacted the company through their website, and zero answer or response. I tried to return to Lowes, 45 days after purchase, but they have a 30 day return policy. They do not stand behind their products...

Hard to start/ restart . Very weak.Major struggle to get through South Louisiana soil . This unit is made for the beach!!!!

Blade sucks

Started and ran fine but the auger bit blade was wasted after 1 hole in dry to moist clay. A good power head is worthless if the blade wont dig....Just spins and does nothing....At least the soft steel blade is detachable I will be making my own blades. A replacement blade from thunderbay is $22 and the same junk....and will need one for every hole....

Overall it's a pretty good machine. I'm the type of person that I actually do read user manuals and instructions. This required some assembly. The supplied tools are total junk, so I used my own. Starting procedure was straight forward and if you know how to start a 2 cycle weed eater, chainsaw, leaf blower, then this is the same procedure. Everything I own is made by Stihl, except this auger. I only use stihl oil and non-ethonol gas in all my 2 cycle machines. This auger cranked up on the 3rd p...

Works Well In Clay

Auger works very well in the wet blue clay we have here. Using this to dig holes for posts

good digging tool

The gas-powered engine ensures good digging qualities, and the multiple drill heads allows flexibility in the hole size. After several uses it more than pays for itself when compared to the multiple rental prices, and the operating costs are minimal.
