Would Not RecommendIt does not dig clay. It is made for very soft, fluffy soil. the same kind you can dig a post in just a few minutes using the olf-fashioned manual digger. Don't waste your money.
Mighty Mite
Would RecommendPowerful little digger. Had 25 holes to dig for landscaping project. Thought I could dig holes by hand. After 30 minutes on first hole I decided I was wrong. Too many rocks/roots. Went to Lowe’s and bought this. Easy assembly- just bolt on the handles and the auger. Put in fresh gas and I was off. Unfortunately when it started it idled at almost full speed. Didn’t have time to play with throttle so I used it as-is. Wife (boss) had tight schedule and I improvised. Just had to be quick to get s...

Would not recommend
Would Not RecommendI bought this auger to help with the install of around 20 posts. It didn't even work for one hole. It went through the sand fine, but as soon as it hit the clay it stopped spinning and no longer works. Absolute waste of time.

Plenty of power for such a small unit. Uses way less fuel than I expected.

Lightweight and powerful.
Would RecommendLight weight and powerful. Easy enough for one person, yet designed well for two. I put in footers for a deck in no time. We’ve got rocky and clay soil, and it was still easy to use.

Great but can burn you.
Would RecommendThis is a greater product. It digs 2 feet holes, starts easy and easy to handle. However I'm very surprised they don't have a cage over the exhaust! I set it down to cut a root and picked it up and the plastic was melted. I can't image what it would do if you brush up against it with your body. Lawsuit in the making for sure.
WOW
Would RecommendBought this to install a sump pump well at the corner of my garage outside where the rain gathers. I am 72 years old and had NO problem digging 4 circular holes and removing soil to install an 18 inch diameter well. It far exceeded my expectations. Love it. No downside that I can find. Used it by myself. Great design and dollar value. Have several projects planned for it. Matt if Florida

No more posthole diggers!
Would RecommendWell packaged. Super easy to start and use by yourself. Not as heavy as it looked to me, can just carry in one hand.

Great auger for the price
Would RecommendIt has been a lifesaver for us. We have 24 post holes to dig in very rocky soil. Even with the augur, it is quite a workout but would have been impossible without it.
