Would RecommendWe have a very old and open front porch that does have a covered roof over it. For the past 23 years we have been sanding and repainting approx. every 2 years. I ended up calling the 1-800 number and speaking with representatives (2 separate times) and was advised of what product to use and what the process would be. They even had documentation of my first call to them. We are very impressed with their customer service to their customers and they are the ones to call. Application of Deck Correc...

Works Great!
Would RecommendMy original deck was ~ 15 years old, and a few years ago, I added an extension. Last summer, I used DeckCorrect for the first time, and the results have been great. The DeckCorrect made both sections (old and new deck) look uniform. It filled in the cracks and left a nice, even textured finish. NOTE: I had used Cabot Deck stain (solid stain - Chestnut Brown) on 2 separate occasions. The color match of DeckCorrect with the original solid stain was perfect. After a year+, the DeckCorrect looks a...

1st coat- and a question
Would RecommendSo far I really like the product, but I didn't get my surface as perfect as I should have before I began. I power washed, but did not get all mildew stains fully removed. Could anyone tell me please, what's the worst that could happen? It looks pretty good now, and I haven't even done the second coat yet.

I am worried
Would RecommendI just bought 10 Gallons of this product because I trust Cabots far more than I trust Behr or Rust-oleum. I always research what I buy but I surprised myself and did an impulse buy when I talked this through with the Sales team. I am scared to death about what color the Redwood is going to be when I apply it. 10 Gallons!!! Whoever posted that the Redwood was orange can you post a picture of the deck next tot he swatch so we can see an example?

Love ease of use, but disappointed in color swatch
Would RecommendI completed the deck today, the product was easy to apply with the roller. Deck Correct dried quickly. I really like that the texture isn't a rough as other products on the market. I am very disappointed with the color swatch to product. I spent a long time picking out a color, I choose Arboretum. It looks like a light blue, lighter than the swatch on the deck no that Deck Correct has Benin applied. It would be great if we could purchase a sample to compare colors at home. The deck is a large pr...

I can't believe the results!
Would RecommendWe used Cabot's DeckCorrect last summer on our awful, cracked, splintered, worn out porch. The previous owner painted the pressure treated wood and so we had to paint it too. Which we did just about every other year, until we found Cabot. This paint is too good to put into words. It's thick and really sinks into those deep, deep cracks and crevasses. It did take a lot of paint, a couple more gallons that we initially figured, but it was well worth it. After all last summer, and the brutal winter...

Seems like a great product but to early to tell.
Would RecommendThis stuff really did make my old deck looks years younger and cost less than paint as you don't need to prime the wood first. As all others have said, the color chart is WAY OFF, it's much lighter than the chart shows it will be. We ended up liking the color so it was no big deal for us, but for others I can see why they are upset.

Deck Rescue
Would RecommendThis product covers extremely well. We were staining our deck every 2-3 years and the stains never covered consistently. This product provides a consistent coating and fills cracks pretty well- way better than any normal stain. My only problem with the product was that the color we received was much different that the color we selected on the color chart. We complained after applying the product and recieved another gallon but, once again, the color was not consistent with the color chart.

Perfect Product
Would RecommendAs a professional painter, I have refinished hundreds of decks over the years. This product answers the question, "Should I replace the deck or go ahead and refinish it?"

Follow directions--it works!
Would RecommendMy brother-in-law recommended a similar product which was not available in our area, so I went to the local hardware store. The deck I needed to fix was a mess, with mildew, and no treatment for several years. I followed the directions, and used the recommended deck wash--(just spray, wait and brush off!), then followed with a wood brightener--those gave me almost a new surface to work on. We let the deck dry for several days just to make sure we had a clean, dry surface and then yesterday we ap...
