I bought it this five years ago and it has looked great. It really helped with old untreated deck as far as splinters and many of the cracks. It is beginning to flake off some now but not too bad. I’m going to put overcoat it and hope it takes well.

Great product.
Would RecommendI put this product on our covered front porch about 3 years ago. The porch is made of 2" x 6" pressure treated tongue and groove. I power washed it and put 2 coats of Deck Correct on it. I'm still happy with it and it looks great. We live in Coastal North Carolina, on the Outer Banks. The porch faces South and gets a lot of sun. I am going to use Deck Correct on our dock. I hope it works there as well as it worked on our porch.

Poor durability
Would Not RecommendI bought this product to restore an old deck that I had and I followed all of the application instructions to a “T”. The product is applied easily and looks great, however the durability of this product is horrendous. Any patio furniture that you use on the deck immediately causes the stain to peel off. This is the worst deck stain I have ever used. I absolutely would not recommend this product.

No complaints!
Would RecommendAbout 5y ago we used this product on our older deck and love it. We followed direction explicitly and it never peeled, etc. We’re getting ready to power wash and recoat our deck again and will use this product. Switching to a slightly darker color.

Great product for a deteriorating deck!
I was a professional painter for 40 years before I retired and never have been happy with water-based deck stains before this. I painted my deck with BM Arborcoat before and it didn't last a summer before cracking, flaking and wearing off. I needed to replace my deck in 2021 but because of the pandemic, composite wood prices were ridiculous so I just wanted to extend the life for another year. I decided to try Cabot's product because I always had a good experience with Cabot products. I replaced...

Horrible
Would Not RecommendI hated this stuff since we put it down. We followed all of the directions and it has always looked awful. Everything shows on it, even bare feet. Now we are getting ready to sell our house and have to figure out how to get it off, it's very thick. Does anyone know how to get it off safely around pets.

Best Deck Saver Ever
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used Deck Correct for several seasons now and could not be happier with the results. My decks are old but using Cabot products to protect them over the decades has kept them from disintegrating in the Arizona sun. It's pretty remarkable. I'll never use anything else on my decks. Thanks for making a product that works as advertised.

Not even close on color.
Would RecommendJust finished applying ~15 gallons of deck correct to my 900 sqft deck and railings. Application was smooth. Product did a mediocre job of filling cracks as advertised. We like the texture and hopefully we will not experience durability issues. However, the color was completely off. I purchased the paint in "Pepperwood" which is a gray/brown and the actual result looks silver/gray. Almost like freshly poured concrete. I made the mistake of believing that a second coat and more drying time would ...

Very disappointing
This product was applied to my deck after preparing the surface according to your directions. This was in the summer of 2022. By last summer, the product was peeling in many places. It's worse now and I am faced with having the deck stripped at great cost and effort and starting over. This product should be removed from the market and consumers should be compensated. I would give it a zero rating if available.

Horrible! Lasted lass than a year
Would give zero stars if I could, we had this applied to our year old deck one year ago & it’s already peeling. The paint looks horrible in general, especially since it leaves footprints th at don’t come off. We now do not know what to do besides try to strip it off and go with a different product. This is going to be very labor intensive and expensive. Do not recommend at all!!!

EPIC FAIL — WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
Would Not RecommendPurchased several gallons of this DeckCorrect (in 2-colors) after a friend recommended it. We stained the deck in August 2023 and here we are just 5-months and it’s peaked and chipped ALL over; even on the railings! I am SO DISAPPOINTED in this product. It consumed a LOT of time to stain all 3-of our decks — not to mention the money we paid; it wasn’t cheap! Terrible Results! HUGE Waste of money time.

Deck Correct Confusion
Would RecommendThe wording on the gallon is VERY confusing when it comes to coverage. It says, "Requires a 2 coat application. One gallon covers approximately 75 sq. ft. with 2 coats." Does that mean there are two layers of 75 feet in the can???? Or one coat of 75 feet????

Did Not Last
Would Not RecommendWe put this on our deck 3 years ago. We stripped and cleaned the old stain off as stated, and used the prescribed rollers to apply it. It lasted about a year before it started to peel off. Now, about half the deck has peeled off, and the other half will not come off. Not sure how to proceed but definitely will not be putting it back on.

Product performs as advertised
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Deck correct works miracles on decking that is cracked and chipped. I used it on my cabin porch in an are exposed to extreme snow and temps in the winter. That was a year ago. Still looks like the day I applied it. I like the fact i gives a slightly rough texture to the surface as it prevents slipping and falls in winter.

EXPENSIVE REGRETS!
Would Not RecommendAs a disabled Veteran on a fixed income I needed a good product that would last, so I bought 2 gallons of this product and paid to have it put on correctly. The color was not what it said it would be, but I could deal with that. It went on and looked great until the first rain. Everything stuck to it and left it stained. When I walked on it, it left impressions on my feet. About 4 or 5 months after having it done it started peeling and scraping and looked as if the deck had not been cared for i...

From trash to treasure
Would RecommendI was debating completely trashing my cedar pergola but with some heavy sanding and an application of the Cabot Deck Correct, I believe I will have many more years of deck life. Thank you for such an easy to use and exceptional coating product.

Would not do this again
I redone my older deck with this to try to bring some life back to it. I was totally and completely impressed at how great it looked, even recommended to friends. Prep is important, cleaned and hand sanded the entire deck and put on two coats of deck correct. Biggest problem is what others have said, it stains really easy and once it stains from a leaf or anything laying on it, you can not get rid of it. Dirt sticks to it very easlly. You clean it and when it dries, you can't even tell you ...

Happy!
This is the most substantial product I have ever used on my weathered wood deck. The coverage is excellent. I like the textured surface. I am very happy with the results! The paint went on smoothly with a roller and I used an inexpensive small brush to cut in. I did spend a lot of time prepping -- power washed & sanded. I hope it looks this good for a while. The Colorado weather is hard on outdoor surfaces.
