Would Not RecommendWe bought 2 5 gallon buckets to do our deck. It looks beautiful but now we cant even walk on it because it gets to hot on the feet. So now cant even walk on it barefoot to get into the pool. Spent a lot money to not even enjoy it barefooted.

Awesome product for old deck wood
Would RecommendI have a 20 year old deck that has never had any treatment applied. I purchased DeckCorrect with the desert sand tint added. The hardware store clerk calculated that I would need 3 gallons to apply 2 coats to my deck, that is exactly what it took. After drying the deck looks absolutely amazing. Most all of the cracks are now sealed and the small splinters are now affixed to the surface. I enjoy being barefoot on the deck and now feel totally comfortable in doing so. I am very pleased and I would...

Great Product!!! But PREP PREP PREP
Would RecommendAfter much research, I chose to use Cabot Deck Correct on my deck in 2018. The key to a lasting finish is prep work... probably the most important step of any paint job. I spent a good 6 weeks prepping it... from power washing, using a deck cleaner, sanding, power washing again, filling in larger cracks, etc. All while working around Mother Nature's plans! Then I used this product. Very easy to use. Stir the paint often as the beads do settle. After 3 coats, my deck looked fantastic. I live ne...

HORRIBLE
Would Not RecommendAfter careful and correct surface preparation on a COVERED porch, I applied two coats per directions. The porch looked STUNNING......BUT after a very short period of time, my old porch stain began to show through in spots, now more and more spots are showing. Not sure if it a chip or what has happened but the porch will need to be redone, re sanded, etc and I will use a porch paint as I have used on previous porches. VERY UNHAPPY with wasted time, energy and money. Don't do it.

Slipper after application
Would RecommendMy deck is so slippery after we applied the clear waterproof. Why? And now my hardwood floors are slippery from walking in and out on the deck. I love the look of the deck, but the slippery deck and hardwood floors are concerning to me. I'm not sure whether I would recommend this to a friend at this time. I don't want anyone to fall.

An old deck looks great!
Would RecommendGreat product. Looks fantastic. Fills in cracks of old deck. Looks like it will hold up well. Just be careful on the vertical because can drip. But with care, it is a good product. Only downsize is you can't customize the color. Color is nice but I would have liked the exact color that I wanted.

Horrible product
Would Not RecommendI followed the instructions to a T. It peeled, looks horrible, now I have to figure out how to strip this off and redo with any other product but Cabot. Too many friends, family, strangers ( while shopping for product and even professional painter suggest we didn't use it. Before and after the fact. I would love to send you the bill to have this resolved. I don't trust your warranty because you will come up with something I did wrong.

Its durable!
Would RecommendLast summer we took off our 35 year old pressure treated deck boards, turned them over since they looked better on the underside, and screwed them back down. Then I applied Deck Correct. It survived the Wisconsin winter without damage. This summer the deck was the staging area for our do it yourself roofing project. When we were finished the deck surface had a lot of tar marks from shingles being dragged around. Even worse were some oil stains from the air compressor. I crossed my fingers, used ...

Buyer Beware
Would Not RecommendI followed the instruction to a "T". Applied late summer 2017. Color was horrible once applied. But, that was my choice. Did not weather well. Also, if I move something it peels off. Looks dirty all the time. I have a huge deck took 6 gallons. Mistake

Easy to apply.
Would RecommendI bought this product a few weeks ago to refinish my 400 Sq.ft. patio deck in northern Michigan. It applies easily and really does a fine job on filling minor cracks and crevices in 25 year old treated pine boards. We found it easiest to use a roller about 2 inches less in width than the deck boards. Wider rollers have too much surface contact with adjacent warped and wavy boards and it takes multiple passes and a lot of product to cover them properly. We simply took a knife and cut a 9" wide ro...

Easy to use but keep some things in mind.
Would RecommendThis has been my experience and are recommendations. I am not affiliated with Cabot and bought this product for my deck/porch. I saw frustrations from some people so wanted to offer some advise and my experience. While prepping the deck is important the age and condition of the wood plays a major role. If it is being applied to a deck that has been treated in the past with a sealant this may affect the long term bonding of the product. Any algae, mold, or moisture in the wood will affect th...

Rust colored spots
Would Not RecommendI pressure washed the concrete patio and allowed it to dry several days. I applied the first coat of Deck Correct. It was easy to apply dried evenly. I waited 24 hours and applied second coat. A week after rust colored spots appeared to be bleeding through the paint.

Wheelchair Ramp
Would RecommendI used DeckCorrect on my newly constructed wheelchair ramp. We used CDX plywood. Originally this was a temp ramp. DeckCorrect over the CDX, we had EXCELLENT results. Apply HEAVY and don't try to save paint. It will roller smooth. It has traction plus. Oregon wet, no problem. It survived the winter and looks great. I just added another gallon of paint to the ramp. I now have a total of 4 coats and it looks great. I am running a 500lb machine over it and other than tire tracks on the paint, it sti...

This product is amazing
Would RecommendIf your wood is structurally sound but looks like it needs replacing, this is the coating you need! It looks amazing! Ive used it on 2 properties. I used on our dock & Deck at Bass Lake and our rear Staircase railings, rungs and support beams at our victorian in San Francisco.

Very pleased!
Would RecommendI was hesitant to purchase this product at first because some reviews online described the product as peeling after a short time... and the cost of this product was spendy considering the size of my deck. Let me just say that i have not experienced any of these problems and it’s been over a year now (I live in Minnesota and the winters here are particularly hard on decks). The prep work was a real pain and the product takes a while to apply but it adhered like concrete over my green treated deck...

Peeling
Would Not RecommendMy husband and I bought this product last summer to do the top of a concrete retaining wall. It was very easy to paint and looked great UNTIL we just cleaned up the yard and took a closer look right now and a large portion has peeled off! We are NOT happy customers
