- It is impossible to properly install a stackable washing machine w/o stacking the existing dryer (same dimensions) on the new washer. I received a defective washer, which should have been fine because I purchased the 5 year Lowe's Protection Plan. (Narrator: it was not fine). Total Con and a Scam!!!

I purchased on-line an LG TurboWash 360 (WM4000HWA) to replace my existing LG washing machine which rests on an LG pedestal (WDP4W). Lowes delivery person would not place new washer on existing pedestal saying it was "old" and turned around and drove off. I immediately went to the local Lowes store and was told there was a LIABILITY issue installing new washer on "old" pedestal. I would have to purchase a new pedestal, model (WDP6W). LOVE this washer!

This washer has many options and does an excellent job on all cycles. It is efficient, very quiet and remains balanced even with heay loads!

The toxic chemicals in the soft plastic parts.

The toxic chemicals in the plastic and rubbery parts have made me so ill that I kept my windows open all winter and put it out on the porch as soon as the weather allowed it. The company is not at all honoring the warranty. So I have had to buy a completely different washer less than a year later, I can ill afford it but my life is worth a lot more than this washing machine. Thank God for Affirm and interest free payments.

Washer Replacement

It was a replacement as the dial was not working properly…. So Lowe’s gave us a gift card to buy a new one… when it arrived, it was damaged so they gave us a 30% discount and refunded us by a refund Lowe’s card…. We were told it would be a Visa card so we would not have to purchase only at Lowe’s. It would be nice if we were told correctly what would happen and find out something different.. thanks

4 Year Ownership Experience

Like most LG appliances I have owned, at first I love them. Unfortunately, as they age, they reveal their subpar quality. I purchased this washer in 2022 from BestBuy. I had this washing machine at my previous home. I thought I would never want a front loader again and was excited that the home we were buying had a top loader. I was wrong, the grass was not greaner! It had that water sensing mode and the clothes were barely covered in water.
