Would Not RecommendThis stud finder is so frustrating to use. After calibrating on the wall and start moving it it might find a stud which I mark and move on. Then it supposedly finds the other edge and I mark it and continue on. Then somethings all three of the lower arrows might stay on while beeping for 18", sometimes not. I can turn it off and try again in the same area and it will do something different. I can go back to my marks and it will indicate a shift of 1/2" or more on both edges or suddenly the s...

Totally Unreliable
Would Not RecommendMy 40 year old Zircon finally died and I bought this as a replacement. Honestly the old one was by far more accurate than this thing. Every negative review is basically correct. Sometimes it thinks the whole wall is a stud. Other times it seems to think the wall is built using 4x4s. Once in a while it actually gets it right but a tool should be reliable not hit and miss.

Would Not RecommendDitto with some of the other reviews where it finds a stud, then come back to that same spot and the stud has shifted. It's very iffy on textured paint, plus the fabric on the bottom of the unit gets snagged on the textured paint. Selecting Deep Scan makes it hit on everything. With some struggle and measuring from known studs I finally get them found, but this is not worth the money.
