we used this after a house fire and it sealed the walls and left no smoke smell in the house

Covers Well

It covered my plaster walls well. Even though it was a lot thinner than I expected and the smell was very strong, it was worth using.

Great primer

I was refinishing a bathroom cabinet. I did use deglosser first, then just 1 coat of Zinsser primer before I painted. Primer covered great!

Stuff works great.

Goes on very easily and hides imperfections very well. Only con is that it takes a lot of primer to cover. Soaks it up on OSB like a sponge. Covered pet urine and smoke smell very well.

BIN Primer !!!!

As a former painting contractor and now a DIY homeowner/and rental property owner I rely on BIN to cover tannin bleed found in old plaster. It seals pine knots and it makes a great surface prep to hang wallpaper on either plaster or sheetrock surfaces. oak cabinet kryptonite.

Purchased this stuff after seeing many good reviews about it; It did not dissapoint. My kitchen has quite of few cabinets in there. Ive never taking on a project of that scale before so i decided to do the guest bathroom first. Wow! Two coats of this stuff and the oak grain is gone. With two coats of paint nobody will ever know those are oak cabinets. Zinsser has me wanting to prime everything in the house that is oak. I highly recomend this product! I chose to paint over grass-cloth wallpaper instead of removing it. After much research, I learned that using this primer would be the only way it would work. My contractor had never heard of it, but agreed the coverage is great. We had to use a lot of it, but would have needed twice as much with 'regular' primer. The fumes are HORRIBLE, so painter wore a mask. Fumes left within a day. Worth it!

Great primer

This is a shellac based primer that sprays very well, dries quickly, and can be covered after a short time. Because it is alcohol based, it doesnt raise the grain.

works on pet urine odor

Our renters let their unneutered male cats urinate all over the hardwood floors in the house. The BIN primer sealer completely got rid of the odor. It took two coats in some places but there is no more odor. This is great stuff! We put vinyl planking down over the hardwood and it looks great!

BIN works great! I highly recommend this product.
