Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse iGen5000DFc Remote Electric Start 5000 Starting / 3901 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

So far so good!

It started up on the first pull. Working on the break-in period. Tested each outlet and varied the load a bit. Smooth running and pretty quiet.

Awesome features and super quiet

I love this generator. Has loads of features that make it practical for Boondocking in remote locations with my travel trailer. Having a dual fuel option is ideal and this unit comes with helpful devices that make it safe and easy to fuel.

Just set it up-great so far

I just set this up to run on LP. It started and ran great right away. One thing to note, no where in the start-up or any other guide does it mention you have to connect the battery. Took me a bit to figure that out. It's surprisingly quiet for such a large generator. It's heavy, but I love the pop-out handle. it makes moving it pretty easy.

Igen5000dfc

Just recently purchased this generator and can’t wait to use it! Love the slide out handle for moving unit around.

Simple operation

The only operational issue i encountered was with the floating ground. This was easily remedied with a bonding plug. The package included the exact amount of oil neccessary, which is important as there is no other fill indicator. Generator fired up right away on propane and the remote works geat!

Great Generator

I bought this generator to power my 5th wheel and does exactly what i need it to do, and it is quiet too!

Off Grid

What a great option for off-grid cabin! Easy start, low fuel usage.

mr

I bought this for an RV as an alternative power source when no power hookup is available. It started up easily after filling with oil. The oil fill process could be made easier but not a big issue for me. I ran it for 5 hours on low load and changed the oil and was ready to run with it. I run propane only so its still puts out very close to the full 30 amps on propane. I am very happy with it, the remote start is a plus. It was quieter than I expected but still am able to hear in house when runn...

Good Features

So far so good, like that there is three different was to start. Not too heavy and compact

Good generator

I did a test run connecting to my 50A inlet to feed the entire house. I'm using propane for this test. startup is a breeze, start bottom and remote all works. Even without the battery connected, to simulate a scenario when the battery is out of charge, I was able to start with the pull string. With all my 50+ LED lights, TV, Fridge on and furnace running simultaneously, it runs at ~25% load at about 1.5KW, add microwave the load goes up to 75% at 3.34KW. It can also power a single 1500W heater...

Great Affordable Generator

Purchased this generator a year ago. Worked great right out of the box, powers my 30 amp camper trailer with ease and is very fuel efficient. I followed the instructions for storage and draining the carburetor, it still took 10 to 15 tries to get it started finally. After that, all was fine. Mine was missing the battery charger, parallel cable, tools, and tool bag.

Great camper generator

We used this generator for our County Fair week. Tried it on both gasoline and propane. We switched from gasoline to propane without power interruption. It was running our AC, microwave, coffee machine, ice maker and charging phones and still got almost a full 24 hours out of a tank of gas with a little less with propane. Propane was so much easier for my wife to switch tanks then refilling the gas tank and worked great for her.

Great and super quiet

Bought a couple of months ago and used today for the first time. It ran great, was very quiet and worked as expected. Love the remote start also!

Awesome Generator! Would Recommend!

I purchased this generator after going camping at our local motocross track for a race weekend with our old style generator, which was not an inverter. We noticed others around us had Westinghouse inverter generators that were quiet and looked easy to transport. I happened to find this model for sale a couple weeks later and purchased it immediately. The instructions were extremely clear on how to start it up and care for it, and it runs perfect! The electric and remote start are huge bonuses, a...

Extremely quiet

We bought this generator to go camping at a music festival. Ours was by far the quietest there. It ran for more than 12 hrs without having to refill it. Can't say enough good things about this generator.

Super quiet inverter generator

Just recieved this generator from FedEx. Very quiet, small and runs everything in my 30amp RV.

Start and go!

Easy start up steps and ran wonderfully for the 12 hour initial run. Very happy with the digital display information and remote start was very helpful since it rained almost the entire time we were camping.

So Far so good

I bought this a little while back but am just now getting to unboxing and throwing some fuel in it. I really like that it is duel fuel. I haven't tested the propane yet on it. But it started up very early and seems quiet and reliable. I need to put it through more real world scenarios and connect it to various household appliances. I really appreciated the various tools it came with, including the oil.

Great Generator! Super Quiet!

Have used it several times & powered most of my house with no problem. Have had no issues with the battery when not used for away, starts right up. And love that it's super quiet & very easy to move around. Oh, and great on fuel consumption.

As Advertised

I bought this last week. Set up was a breeze and both the Propane and Gasoline worked like a charm. I'm not looking for a power outage, but if it comes, I'll be ready.
