Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse iGen2550DFc Recoil Start 2550 Starting / 1900 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

The perfect inverter for RV boondocking.

We have been RV’ing for 17 years with about half of the time boondocking. For those that don’t know what ‘boondocking’ is, it’s RV camping off the grid. We have been using our Westinghouse igrn4500df for time when we need to run the AC, (we are in Texas), however, it’s too heavy and bulky for times when the AC is not needed. We purchased this igen2550dfc for the times where the AC is not needed. We are running a bank of golf cart batteries for power and solar panels but there are times when the ...

Nice portable generator

Purchased this to use with our RV trailer. It is quiet and very light to transport as it weighs only 42lbs. I like the dual fuel feature as we will only run this on propane. We can also connect this to our larger IGen 4500 generator also.

Works great

Just got it this week. It started right up with both gas & propane. I haven’t need it for an outage yet, but I ran it for 3 hours without any problems.

Nice Portable Dual Fuel Generator

Had a I gen 2200 for about 3 years before this one that I was very happy with. Very reliable and I like the dual fuel option on this one as well.

Lite weight power house

Purchased to charge Jackery 2000 plus when solar not available wanted propane option

My Second Review- I Never Got My Free Cover

I registered and reviewed my generator on October 12, 2024. I runs well and I gave it 5 stars at the time. However, I never got my free cover after waiting almost a year. 1 star for false advertising.

Great

Great item cant wait to use it outside in a safe space

Nice portable generator

Very nice portable generator. Plan to use for camping with our RV. After adding the supplied oil, it started up and ran smooth right out of the box. I'm a little disappointed as mine does not seem to have the side panel lights that I've seen in promotional pictures and is noted in the manual. It also does not include any parallel cords to use with my other iGen 4500 generator. In fact, the only parallel cords Westinghouse now offers is only good for a 30 amp connection to an RV. This does ...

Reliability

I bought this to use with my RV and it has performed flawlessly. The ability to use propane as a fuel is particularly useful in my application.

so far so good

pretty quiet and easy to move around. works with both fuels seamlessly .

easy to set up, small and easy to handle

So glad we bought this. Looking forward to being able to use gas or propane.

Great Little Generator

I bought this for our 30amp travel trailer. We installed a Soft Start on the air conditioner and this generator will run the ac on propane! Runs quiet, not heavy, and easy to pack and move around. First generator we bought and a good purchase!

Nice little generator

The generator is a of real good quality and easy to handle. I love that it has 30 amp RV outlet and dual fuel!

Fantastic: iGen inverter generator 2550

It's perfect to take camping especially for boondocking. It'll keeps my wife and my CPAP running all night and charges my batteries. It also has the power to run our Mr. Coffee, and run the AC., not at the same time. I'm glad I bought it. Good price too. It didn't break the bank.

iGen2550

Quieter than a lot of other brands that I've been around.

Love it but ..

Brand new out of the box it starts right up. Unfortunately it dies every 10 minutes. Starts right up again but still dies 10 minutes later. Trying to run one tank of fuel through it to see if it gets better as it breaks in. I'll call them after that.

Nice size

Generator is a great size and not too heavy. Can't comment on it's performance yet, but will once I have tested it

More confident with coming seasons

Arrived in the last couple days. Going into the box the way the material is laid out with information naturally guides you to it's first use. First rate product thoughtfully mixed with it's information. I feel like I'm looking forward to the storm. So quiet you can talk over it.

Duel fuel

Purchased due to propane use and good features for the price with good reviews.
