Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse iGen2550DFc Recoil Start 2550 Starting / 1900 Running Watt Gasoline, Liquid propane Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

Secluded Camping.

Easy start, lightweight and quiet running. Dual fuel is a great bonus also.

Smooth running and quiet

Just bought the generator but has been very easy to set up and runs smoothly and will come in handy for backup at the house and for recreational use when we need it.

Great generator thats very quiet to run.

This product, the 2550 dual fuel, is perfect for what i need it for. I will use it to charge my Jackery 3600 when it low and it will protect my equipment. I like being able to use propane instead of gas. It is surprisingly light and easy to transport.

Nice and compact

Very nice compact generator, good for small needs.

Dual Fuel = Dual Goodness

I bought this a few weeks ago. The generator is exactly what I was looking for. It is quiet, portable, and dual fuel. Highly recommend this product,

Looks Easy to Use- Mine Wouldn't Start Out of Box

Based on the multiple YouTube videos I watched, the Westinghouse iGen2550DFc appears to be a very easy generator to set up and operate. Unfortunately, my experience has been very different. I have not been able to get my new generator to crank or start out of the box. I've tried on five separate occasions, eventually giving up each time and trying again the following week. I've followed the owner's manual instructions to a "T," watched numerous YouTube startup videos, and tried every reasonable...

Quiet and Powerful

It has a very quiet run (noise) compared to our other generators. Portable and easy to use. Power is good! We used this during camping at the beach and slept peacefully next to it (it was outside our tent). A good buy and highly recommend.

Looking Good

If it runs as good as it looks it will work great for my travel trailer.

Great lightweight, quiet generator w/many features

I just bought this and it starts and runs great on both gasoline and propane. I’m looking forward to years of use from this generator. I’m happy that it has the 30amp 220 volt plugin. I may purchase another someday to run two units in parallel for additional power.

Dual fuel

Excellent generator. Light weight and dual fuel is a bonus.

As advertised right out of the box.

I finally was able to find some time to set my new iGen2550DFc inverter up today. Very easy set up. The exact quantity of oil was provided and the provided funnel made filling a breeze. I did not try on gasoline, as my intentions are to only run on propane using my camper cylinders. The regulator assembled easy. It was a little hard to start, but I'm sure there was air in the line. If you follow the starting procedure exactly as written, it seems to fire right up. I turned everything on in my ca...

Nice little generator

I bought this a couple of weeks ago for a camping trip without electric site to run a 22’ pull behind camper. It was a little under powered to run everything all at once. I had to start the AC and then add loads after that. But for it size it ran great. I did run it only on LP, which I liked a lot of having to mess with gas.

Haven't had a chance to use it but ships fast and have their 12500 model and it works wonders

Best batch yet!!!

Just received yesterday. Plan on using primarily propane A little trouble stating first 2 times. Took a couple dozen pulls each time. #rd time tried starting without extending choke and it fired up on third pull. Runs very quiet. I'm happy with it so far. Propane can sometimes be a little more finicky than gasoline. Anyway, we'll see . I would have given 5 stars except for initial starting issue. I would come back here and update later, but I don't think that's possible.

Super Quiet!

Just bought it, runs super quiet and powers what I need

Affordable generator with dual fuel ability

I purchased the iGen 2550FC for use as an emergency generator for use when we have power outage. We live in rural NH and probably average one a month. Even though these outages are usually fixed in a few hours it is inconvenient since we lose lights, TV and Wifi. We have a 20 year old gas generator but it is usually full of stale gas and too much bother to try to start. Plus, we have three freezers in our detached garage remote from the old generator and it would be a great loss if we had ...

Nice setup

Has a good solid feel. Fired right up on propane. We plan to use this to keep freezers running if power fails...don't want to lose all that deer meat!

Just picked it up and opened it

Just purchased this and have to leave a review in order to get a cover it should come with one

Great small generator

Generator started on the third pull and powered a drill and circular saw with no difficulties. Nice and quiet.

Very quiet!

Just hooked up to propane tank and tested it. Took a few pulls but ran great and very quiet.
