Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse iGen2550DFc Recoil Start 2550 Starting / 1900 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

Had to leave a review to be able to registrar

I am happy with product but could not get free cover for registration because would not accept link. so now I had to leave a review to registrar product but don't get free cover. I don't like being coerced into providing all kinds of info to be able to registrar a product. please contact me so you can send me my free inverter cover.

Easy to start and quiet

It’s so easy to start and quiet. I’m taking it on a trip where we will be boon-docking for several days and feel much more confident that I’m bringing this along. I love the 30 amp plug for a trailer too!

So far pretty good

I bought this a month ago to run my portable a/c in my truck. Does a great job only issue has been the low oil sensor failed causing it to randomly shut off. Unplugged sensor and works great just check the oil before each use.

My new unit.

I bought this a month ago. I am so happy. Happy happy happy.

Westinghouse investors are great.

This is my second Igen I have had a igen 4500 which has been trouble free and provided great storm relief and power for off grid trips. I upgraded my RV and wanted to have 50A power adding the igen 2550 was perfect can run both for 50A power or still use them individually with just a 50/30A reducer. Can’t be happier with my Westinghouse products.

Runs great.

I just bought this. Easy start. Runs my portable air conditioner. Affordable price

Perfect for camping

I bought this earlier this month, so we could have something small for camping trips. And this is perfect! Quiet, easy to use, light weight. Ran it for about 27hours straight, and was able to keep up with everything! Had our Alpicool fridge/cooler plugged into it and none of our food went bad. 10/10 would recommend this generator to everyone!

Great product

Bought a month ago. Started it up and it works great

Great for camping

Small but powerful. Fits perfectly in my van Quiet.

Great portable inverter generator

Purchased to use for camping and as an emergency backup for the house. Very quiet, starts instantly.

Holy Power

I bought this for my 20' camper so I could use the air conditioner on those extra hot nights and it far exceeded my expectations. Even with my a/c running it still had power for my tv and my fan.

starts in one pull. light, quiet

I bought this a few days ago and took it out of the box today. After adding oil and reading how to operate, it started right away. It's quiet, very light. I am gonna love this for my camper. Much quieter than most generators this size. I love the rubber tray on top as well. Can't wait to use this with my camper.

Great for a new business owner

I needed some extra power for work to make things move more smoothly. I couldn't have imagined my inverter would come in handy like this.

Super features

If started easy, I am happy with that. and it works great for what I won't. Works with homee and %th wheel.

Works great

Easy to carry and is quiet when it is running. Easy to set up and run on propane.

Great features

I recently purchased this unit, it is easy to start, quiet, and light weight. I am very happy with it.

reliable and powerful enough for camping.

I'm incredibly impressed with this generator. We recently put it to the test, running it for two full days straight, and it performed flawlessly. The digital display is a great feature, giving you clear readouts on its status. It's surprisingly quiet for a generator, which is a huge plus when you're trying to enjoy the peace of nature. We hooked it up to our gear, and it provided consistent, reliable power without a hitch. If you're looking for a dependable portable power source for camping, tai...

perfect size

Just purchased for an upcoming hunting trip. Love the size and features. Also impressed with low noise level

Zero support from Westinghouse!

I read all the good reviews and thought I was making a good choice in buying the iGen 2550DFc. I could not have been more wrong. It appeared to run fine on propane out of the box. Started, ran for 15 minutes, everything looked good... until I tried to do the recommended 5 hour run-in at half power. The generator started and ran fine for 50 minutes then quit for no obvious reason. It started right back up but only ran for 20 minutes before quitting again. Like last time, it re-started easily, ...

Convenient generator for occasional boondocking!

Wanted a small generator that would be easy to lift in and out of pickup truck bed for a long road trip from Arizona through western Canada. This will supplement our solar/lithium battery system during our boondocking days/nights, and wanted dual fuel for flexibility. Already own 2 of Westinghouse's larger model, iGen4500DF. All are a great value compared to other brands!
