40 watt equivalent LED light bulb

Would Recommend

While the description says 40 watt equivalent, I would say it would easily replace a 60 watt bulb. I love the instant on aspect of this bulb. These bulbs have replaced the CFLs that I had in the kitchen which never provided enough light the moment I flipped the switch. I was also expecting an LED bulb that was too "cool blue" but was surprised at the warm "normal" looking color of this bulb.

If you have a little money for home improvement, I would highly recommend this to replace your CFL's. The specs say that it's equivelant to 40 w bulbs, but in the lamps I tested it looked closer to 60. If you used it to replace 60 watt bulbs the numbers would look like this: 60 w @ 4 hr/day over one year, it would cost $9.64 a year to run vs LED bulb 7.5 watts @ 4 hr/day over one year costing $1.20, for a saving of $8.44. At that rate it would take a little over 2 years to pay for that. And with...
