Would RecommendI just purchased 12 of these bulbs - 6 for each bathroom bar light fixtures. They are instant on at full brightness, since they are LED unlike CFL. They look great, they are nice and bright, perhaps too bright! Light is all the way around. Too early to tell on quality, will wait and see Can't beat the price, under $10 each for an LED equivalent to 40W Great job Lowes
Product so far has performed as advertised. Havig used it log enough to se if theere is any savings power cost wise.

Keep your receipt!
Would RecommendThese are great while they work, but 2 out of about 8 have gone out already. I thought this might happen so I kept the packaging and receipt. These have a 2 year warranty so you can bring them back to Lowe's for a replacement. I had to argue about it a little (the employee said they only had a 90 day policy) but it says it right on the packaging that you can bring them back to the store within 2 years for replacement if they fail or you are not satisfied with the performance.
Best LED Replacement to Date
Would RecommendI was looking for a descent looking bulb to replace the 60 watt around the house. These 40 watt surpassed the existing 60 watt. The warm white is great in the bathroom. They are also dimmable - a big plus. Have purchased 12 so far and will be getting more. As far as lasting power, too soon to tell. It has a 2year warranty.

Still a little pricey, but works great
Would RecommendI've purchased a couple different led bulbs in the past, and it finally seems like they've got them to where there is not much of a noticeable difference between the light given off from these vs compact florescents. Bulb appears well constructed. While they are still quite a bit more expensive than non-led bulbs, the lifespan and low energy use should more than make up the difference over time. I'd recommend these if you're looking for a budget (vs other brands anyway) led bulb.

Very Short Life
Would Not RecommendI purchased 2 of these bulbs about 6 months ago the $20 price and one already failed. I looked online and see there is a high failure rate for these bulbs. Simply using these in hallways both on a typical 2 switch system both bulbs on the same circuit.
DOA, then dead after 3 months!
Would Not RecommendI purchased the first one during the fall. First time I plugged it in, it did not work so I took it back and exchanged it. The new one just died two days ago 3 months after purchase. I plugged it into a standard socket with a standard light switch.
An update. Don't buy them.
Would Not Recommend3 months in and another bulb died. That brings the total to 3 bulbs out of 20. I don't like CFL's but they have a ways to go to make these reliable. Clean power, and 3 different good fixtures. Bulbs just aren't holding up.
Dead after 3 months
Would Not RecommendI had this bulb in a medium duty cycle light fixture that operates dusk to dawn, the light bulb died after less than 3 months. I have had incandescent bulbs in the same location last much longer than that, and CFLs absolutely outlived this bulb. So much for the 25,000 hour life rating on the bulb...at most my bulb had 1000 hours on it, so 1/25th of the advertised life span. It was a great bulb, until it died...the entire purpose of "investing" in an LED bulb are for the lifespan and energy effi...
Garbage
Would Not RecommendLasted a whole 4 months then died $25 for a light bulb that lasts 4 months dont waste your money, very very very unsatisfied
Not so dimmable?
Would Not RecommendI had four of these in recessed ceiling cans, operated via a dimmer since the packaging said "DIMMABLE". After a couple of months, one would flicker constantly. Swopped it out at Lowes. Within a week, another wouldn't light at all. Took that one out and put it in a floor lamp with no dimmer. It still would not fire up until I beat on it a few times (indicating an internal electronics issue?). I then placed it back in the can and it would not light. Some reading online suggests that an electronic...
amazing light bulb
Would Recommendthis is a very nice bulb for everyday usage. i like the quality of the bulb being that it is a all metal jacket and a thick glass top. a benifit of getting the bulb s 20 year life span and for most people you wont half to get bulbs for a long time. the energy savings is well wow. a $ 1.00 a year. the cost may be higher then a normal bulb right now but think of the ammount of saving from not having to get a regular bulb every year or a cfl every few years. so why wait to save alot of money
This bulb is well worth your money!!
Would RecommendI bought these the first week they came out in lowes which was about a year ago. I built an energy efficient house and am going to be all on solar and wind so the only choice was led for me and my family. I have found out you dont want these leds in enclosed fixtures with no air circulation. I have all flush mount lighting in my ceiling and they work great! I bought most of mine when they were $18 a bulb!! I was super happy to see them at $9 a bulb around thanksgiving. I have even dropped one of...
LED is the way to go.
Would RecommendQuick on...long life....no mercury to worry about. Cost more now.... but worth it.
Failure after 8 months
Would Not RecommendI like this lamp but the quality needs to be better. This is not the first failure I have had with this same LED lamp. Keep your receipt to return for replacement.
They are great if they work.
Would Not RecommendI bought 20 of these bulbs within a month and a half, one failed to work immediately. Ok, take it back to get a replacement. Now another failed. The quality control must be non-existent. They also seem to run quite warm for something that only consumes 7.5 watts. Good light output, nice color, only consumes 7.5 watts, inexpensive as LED bulbs go. Not so inexpensive if you figure in fuel or shipping to return them constantly. But the quality is not there. I will not buy any more of these.
Excellent Value
Would RecommendVery impressed with this bulb. I hope many more are being sold so that the price goes down further. Will buy more of those even at current price. Highly recommend it.
Excellent Value
Would RecommendPurchased this bulb for use in my daughters closet (frequently on 24 hrs) to help keep the monsters away. Also I wanted to try out an LED and get a feel for the light quality. Light is certainly bright, closer to 60 watt. Not quite as nice as incandescent, but better than the CFL it is replacing. Based on the experience, I will continue to put my CFL on hand into closets and other area where light quality doesn't need to be 100%. I'll keep trying LED's periodically in room lighting to get a bett...
