Want your lights turning on and off randomly?

Plugged in and immediately learned that not every touch results in the light turning on. Off, or dimming. More often than not, it required multiple touches to get anything to happen. That kind of took the convenience factor out. Then, during the first overnight, the lights (I bought 2 of these modules, 1 for each side of our bed) started randomly, without touching them, turning on and off on their own. Turn-on for some

Touch Light Control is great solution for some hard-to-switch-on lamps but will not work for all, at least in my home. It allows me to turn on one floor lamp by touching metal base, and to dim light to three levels, but it will not plug in to several other lamps and/or outlets so use is limited.

Works great

I like this little thing it works with all kind of lights and with no trouble at all.

Works on some metal lamps

This plug worked on my lamps with thinner metal bases. It did not work on my intended lamp with a wide metal base so I returned it and got the other black adapter with circular touch pad disc from Lowe’s (so you touch the pad, not the lamp), and that one worked perfectly.

Unit didn't work

Plugged it into the wall then plugged a metal lamp into the unit but couldn't turn the lamp on or off.

Hit & miss. Depends on the lamp material.

Did not work well with my lamp.. maybe because it is plated or coated. Bought the wired version which is what I had before (20 years) and it worked fine.

Just a touch

I purchased these to give my metallic lamps the ability to be turned on with just simply a touch of my finger. My wife loves them and is ordering more.

My touch lamp in the bedroom stopped working and I thought about replacing the lamp but the Lowe's store representative guided me to this item. Easy to install and works great.

have a mind of their own

These seem too good to be true, and like everything that seems that way, they are. Just plug this into wall and plug lamp with metal on it into it, and you have a touch lamp! NOT! You have a lamp that changes brightness, turns on and off when it feels like it, which is often. Very annoying to have light by bed turn on full bright in middle of night! Annoying all the time. I bought 2, 2nd one while waiting on first one, and they are both going back.

This was well made and easy to install and set up. Great quality with good price point.
