50amp hard to connect wires
Would Not RecommendWith 50amp you need 8/3 twisted as a min the posts are so close together it's very hard to connect the large wires to the post. I would have liked something larger so the wires connecting to the post are easier to connect.

Dryer plug
Would RecommendEasy replacement plug for dryer. I would recommend changing out the receptacle at the same time, if plug was bad good chance one or more receptacle end are bad also.

Wires come loose
Would Not RecommendTried to use this with 10 ga stranded wire. Started putting the two halves together after connecting the wires and one of them fell out. Thinking I hadn't tightened it up enough, I reattached it. While doing that, another fell off. Found that slight movement of the wire will loosen the clamp, almost no matter how much torque I put on it. I don't trust it.

Too tight for 6 guage wire
Would Not RecommendThis is definitely not for heavy gauge wire. I'm building a 50 amp generator cord using 6/3 wiring. I used the striped casing from the neutral to shield the bare ground wire. It took a lot of effort to get the wires sequenced into the housing so that the ground was under the other wires and the lugs for the neutral and hot weren't cutting into the insulation on the ground.
