Would Not RecommendTried to install an 8/4 SO cord into this plug for use on a generator.....wires would not stay connected to pins regardless of how tight you screwed them down. Finally did the right thing, spent about eight times the money, and bought some good plugs....this is how homes get burned down!

I purchased this item for a generator power cord. I have purchased this item on other occasions for the same purpose. It is easy to connect to #8 wire. I would rate it 5 stars however the package was previously opened and the optional 30 amp spade was missing. Fortunately, it was not needed for this application.

Worst Plug Ever!
Would Not RecommendExtremely hard to put on! More time spent than money saved on better plug. Tiny washers keep falling out, ground wire runs right up against hot so I had to insulate it.
