fantastic for the money

It was put into my walk-in closet because the light source before was just not bright enough. I love it. The Lowe's employee helped me find a great type of fluorescent bulb that would show colors as they really are. Before, I couldn't tell dark brown brom black from dark blue....now I see everything perfectly.

Nice fixture for the price

This fixture is good if you need something inexpensive to just provide you overhead lighting. The fixture itself is bare bones, the ballast is exposed once the plastic opaque cover is removed also exposing the wiring connections. There is no cover other than the opaque plastic one. Installation is pretty simple with 6 predrilled holes provided and or can be self drilled if the fixture doesn't quite line up with your desired mounting location. no electrical knockouts

Usually in the past there were a couple options as to where you could bring in the power line whether it be in the form of romex or cable but on this product there is no holes or knockouts to bring in the electric power line to hook it up to the light fixture electric.

Cheap but functional

I bought this 4' unit to work alongside one I previously purchased from Lowe's a few years back. The case and diffuser were identical. It appeared to be the same unit and build quality - until I opened this thing up. No longer do you get a central ballast protector, which runs the length of the case, between the tubes. Easy to install

I put two of these lights in a recently finished storage portion of my basement. With daylight bulbs, they illuminate the 13' x 15' room with 3-tiered 2' shelves all around very nicely. At this point, I can not speak as to their endurance.

Disappointing product

Several broken lenses in the 12 units I purchased; the end frames were bent on all but two units which makes lense installation difficult and causes lenses to fall unexpectedly because they fit poorly; several lenses were broken "out of the box" which of course required a return and my expense and time. Terrible product - you get exactly what you pay for.

poor design overall

This light works ok but as many others noted the installation is far from standardized. First there are no knockouts anywhere on the housing and no way to mount to an electrical box. The hole for the wires is very small. Since I am mounting these in a laundry room I have access to the top of the fixture and can wire the box from there. Flawed Design

This possibly the worst product I've ever purchased in 15 years of shopping at Lowe's. The mounting holes are something like 40 inches apart. I don't know where in the world ceiling joists are spaced that distance, but I've never seen such a thing in the US. The directions recommend using toggle bolts for the end that doesn't line up with the joists. I drilled new holes for screws instead. The ground screw is secured with a nut on the ceiling side of the case, which makes it impossible to tigh...

Increased the elumination that I was looking for.

Takes some tools that most diy's don't have, as there are no knockouts in the can. This was no problem for me.

48-5/8-in Fluorescent Wrap Light

This is my second light. I bought for use in a closet. I like the idea that the bulbs are separate because I prefer WARM WHITE. We really like the first one and this will be installed upon completion of our downstairs bath. I recommend!!!! AAA+

good light

This is not a fancy fixture, but works well, installed easily. Like many cheaper fixtures, the cover doesn't always slip off easily, but it hasn't fallen off (yet) either.

Ballast died within 3 months

I installed this light in our laundry room. About 3 months later, the ballast started to failed and the light comes on intermittently. I'll have to replace this fixture with a better quality one.

Poor Quality Assurance

Light fixture didn't have conduit hole knockouts! Display model did. Had to cut my own hole with hole saw.

I see the light!!

This two lamp unit is by far the best out there for the money. Very easy to install and wire!! I would suggest this unit if you are thinking of upgrading from your old T12 fixtures. Sure, you can replace a T12 ballast with a T8 ballast but not for $20.
