Like it so far

Like it mainly because of the T8 system. Puts out as much or more light than the T12, doesn't blink when you turn it on, (instant on), and it doesn't buzz.

nice and bright

wish the wiring was covered by some type of plate, it is exposed to the heat from the bulbs.

If you want cheap it's good for basement.

Good for narrow spaces

These lights use the same bulbs as the wider version of the light. I put two of these in my garage to light up a certain area. They put out plenty of light.

Middle of the road light.

Easy to install. Quality is average. Lighting is poor.

Cheap, No Knockouts

The unit did not have the knockouts the instructions mentioned (and would be expected). The lightweight housing was all bent up although the box was undamaged in any way. (it went in the box damaged) As it was for my shop I fixed it to save a trip back to the store to get a different one.

Not worth it.

Bought two that had broken covers right out of the box. Bought 6 from two different Lowes, none of them have a knockout. I would have liked to have finished off the basement with these, bought now I have to get a different product. I am not going to drill out where there should be a knockout. I could have put this up with a single knockout somewhere on the unit, it mattered not where it was but they simply don't have one. Wasted my time going to the store twice now. very easy to install for a someone who isn't handy at all

Buy a different light system

No hole on end cap to allow insertion of electrical wiring that is connected to the power switch. Had to punch a hole (didn't have large drill bit) and then use a file to smooth the edges. Turned out to be more difficult than expected due to closeness of the tombstones. No cover for the ballast and the existing wiring; wires just hang between florescent tubes. Buy another light for a few dollars more.

Great lighting for a low price

This is an inexpensive, but great lighting source.

Quality leaves much to be desired.

Bought three lights. Had to take one back because the lens was shattered and the base of the light was crushed. A few days later, I bought two more lights to match the other three. When I got home and opened the box, there was no lens cover in the box. Had to take the light back and exchange it. Two extra trips to the store to exchange damaged/incomplete merchandise. No bulbs included!

We bought this to replace an old garage light that ballasts had gone bad. It was inexpensive, but when we got it home, I realized it did not include the bulbs. We probably would have been better off getting a better light which included bulbs for the $. However, with that being said, it does not include the toggle bolts to hang it either. It works just fine and is a little more slim-line looking than the old fluorescent fixture.

Does the job!

Used this to replace a similar fixture in the garage that the ballast went bad on. Cheaper and easier to buy a new fixture than buy and replace the old ballast! This was easy to install and seems to work fine!

excellent fixture

I started to look for an economical way to light up a back room to which i will be using frequently and LOWE and behold. I was pleased to purchase this item online. Of course I screwed up with the bulb size but it was not a problem, I returned it to Lowe's and they issued a credit right away. The price , the quality and most important the customer service was on point. I will continue to purchase form Lowe's and will not hesitate to recommend a friend or anyone for that matter.

the person who installed them for me said they were easy to installed, he had no problem with them. They give enough light as I placed them in my basement.
