FYI this kit is designed for 45 degree stair runs and doesn't adapt well to other angles. I'm not sure if Trex has a kit for other situations but I was able to modify this to work for my somewhat shallow stair run and it worked fine (I flipped the bottom bar over, installed, and custom drilled holes for the bars at a vertical angle). I feel like this should be more aggressively noted. I'm also not a fan of the mounting brackets being wider than the bottom rails (which leaves "fins" sticking o...

Would RecommendVery good railing system. Lowes is starting 5his line at their stores now so not enough available at all store .i had to go to 3 stores to collect the amount of stufd i needed. But over all very godo quality. Make sure ur contractor knows to handle it with care while installation. As they can get scratch if u handle it roughly. Black railing very beautiful. Price is good as well.

Well made but bad instructions
Would RecommendThe directions for how to attach the mounting brackets to the railing were not good. I ended up installing it and the end of the railing and you need to put a little bit back from the end because I have a gap at where my railing meets the post. I’m afraid to drill more holes and move it back because it will weaken the integrity.

wrong picture, its not angled, it is straight
Would Not RecommendI like the material (composite railing & metal tubing), I dislike the brackets/supports and had to purchase my own stronger/sturdier bracing/supports. I also dislike the fact that its false advertising, I thought I was purchasing a railing that was made to be angled up the stairs already cut and instead its no different than purchasing a straight (not angled railing). So be ready to cut 45's on each end.

Drill on the correct side!
Would RecommendThis handrail looks sharp and was easy to install. It only took about 30 minutes for each section, taking careful consideration what was the top rail and the bottom rail. I drilled the brackets into the top of the bottom rail by mistake in the chaos of putting about 10 sections up. Instructions are easy to follow.
