What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the beautiful appearance, exceptional durability, and straightforward installation of this composite decking. The Clam Shell color is especially favored for its sophisticated gray tone and versatility. Reviewers consistently highlight the low-maintenance nature, resistance to splinters and fading, and realistic aesthetic that rivals natural wood. The hidden fastener system and lightweight boards make installation accessible even for DIYers. A few customers report isolated shipping damage, but most remain highly satisfied overall, viewing this as a premium, long-lasting outdoor investment.

I thought Clam Shell was lighter. This is a dark grey. I am not dissatisfied though. It will look beautiful on replacement of our deck. The price was exceptional. Only Lowes had a gray color. Everywhere else did not, or if they did, it was expensive.

T-Rex is definitely a good brand to invest in.
Would RecommendI love the price first of all! Next, I was looking for a smoke gray and the clam shell was exactly the color! It compliments the lighter gray on my house. The planks were durable and looks very classy. I am pleased!

unfinished materials
Would Not RecommendDon't let the pictures of the finished decks fool you! Trex has unfinished boards on the inside and when they are cut they show and Trex offers no solution to this per one of their "pro installers". Not worth the money the finished product does not look good.

Great decking material
Would RecommendThe Trex decking is a great product. We received several that were obviously damaged by a fork lift. However, Lowe's made it right and sent replacement boards at no cost the very next morning.

Good product, but warped ends
Would RecommendBoards worked fine to replace an aging deck. We had these delivered by Lowe’s. Delivery was on time and courier was helpful. However, many of the boards were warped on both ends which resulted in a loss of about 15% of material which was unusable. If you have the means, recommend going to Lowe’s and picking out your boards in person.

Anticipate the boards being curled at th end.
Would RecommendThe trex product is heavy and durable. I used almost the entire length of the boards which made it difficult because the ends were curled up for about a foot. The Trex screws strip easily so you need to be careful. It is a good product with a few negatives.
