What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this mulch for its natural, undyed composition and effectiveness in moisture retention and weed control. Many highlight its soil-enriching properties, lack of chemical additives, and long-lasting performance, making it ideal for organic gardening. The coarse texture and 2-inch application depth deliver reliable results. However, some report inconsistent shredding quality, with complaints of oversized wood pieces, rocks, and occasional mold or metal debris. Despite these drawbacks, most customers consider it a dependable choice for garden beds and slopes.

Sometimes web info is incorrect.
Would RecommendDespite the info I found on this store's website, there were only 3 bags and I needed 6. The website said there were over 80 bags. However the young man who assisted me was knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous.

Hardwood mulch at Lowes
Would RecommendThis is always my "go to" for mulch. It looks more natural than other mulches and lasts longer. Lowes is the only place in town that carries hardwood mulch and the staff responsible for loading are FAST!

This instead of fake colors!
Would RecommendDouble shredded and natural hardwood is beautiful and an investment in the health of my garden. It will be humus by next year and turned under. Grateful to get such a high quality product at such a reasonable price.
