Could not remove a bolt using this system

Simply put, I could not remove a bolt with this product. The packaging contains information that will be lost when the packaging has been discarded--why not repeat this information on the card show inside the box? The photos included tell the tale.

Nonfunctional, there are better options

The drill end does not have a flute like a drill bit so gets plugged up when only 1/8" deep. The smallest spiral stripped out and the largest chipped.

Good 1st tool vs. drastic routes

Not as simple as expected.

Hubby had somewhat of a tough time with the bolt extractor. The screw extractors worked perfectly, but he couldn't get this extractor to work as shown. He's not sure if there was something that was done incorrectly or why the bolt didn't come out as it should. He ended up having to figure out another way to get the bolt out. Works as needed but drill part does not cut well.

A tool you need if you have broken bolt. In this case I would use the drill end to start the drilling, then change to a real drill for most of the hole. Then switch back to the tool to finish. The drill end does not drill well. Then turn the extraction part down and remove the bolt. Lock in solid.

Super useful in case of stripped screws and bolts

I got a set of 3 types of SpeedOut Pro Extractors: Regular screw, Micro Screw, and Bolt extractors. I only used the regular and micro screw extractors for actual work, but have the Bolt extractors on hand "just in case". I have to say that these are indeed pretty high quality and work fine with my Ryobi drill. It latches on with ease (screw on reverse, forward extract). Very easy to use and gets the job done when you have something stuck.

Very Convenient

After using the speedout screw extractor, I knew exactly what I needed when I had a stripped bolt. The built in design makes it convenient to drill and unscrew without having to swap out bits.

Get out bolts

Worked just as expected. I like the case to keep it organized and accessible. This is my first experience with bolt style, so the instructions were helpful. I wish the inset in the case were the instructions. I ended up cutting them off the back of the box and sticking them in myself. A factory fit would have been better.

It did tap the bolt

I hot this product so that I can extract damages bolts fome my woodworking projects. The package is small and easy to open. The bits look sturdy. The instructions were clear. I currently do not have a damaded bolt to extract, so I sank one into some pine. The bit did drill into the bolt but I had difficulty keeping it centered. The bolt did not come out, but I think that may have been operator error.

Damaged Bolt Removal

This tool works as intended, but instructions could be more detailed to avoid using the product incorrectly. The case keeps everything organized and safe.

Brittle bolt remover

Installed lag bolt on a 2 x 4 for the purpose of testing this speed out bolt remover. Followed instructions for removing the bolt from the 2 x 4, unfortunately the remover tool fell apart when trying to remove the belt. Seems like a very low-quality product.

You get what you pay for

Not sure I would use these on very old or rusted bolts but they work great on the ones that I tried them on you could go and get them a lot cheaper elsewhere but you get what you pay for pay the few pennies extra and get these

Wonderful option for my toolkit

Usually I just look for my vice grips when I find a rounded off bolt, but now I have options! Try to get the bit centered before you drill the hole, but I found that it even worked off center in my test. I did have to guess which bit to find the right size, and don't burn yourself when screwing down the outer sleeve for the extractor, but otherwise worked flawlessly. Also, make sure your item is well secured.

Easily extracts stripped screws

Easily attachable to the drills we have and easy to use. It does take a little more effort to apply pressure to get the stripped screw out but works like a charm.

Hardly High-Grade

This review is for the Speed Out brand of extractors. Specifically, the bolt extractors in sizes ¼”, 5/16”, 3/8” and ½”. The bolt extractors are made of steel with a tapping bit and a knurled sleeve. Works well

So I got this to remove some stripped bolts from a reel. Used this with a power drill with no issues. It was easy to bore a hole in the center of the bolt and drill it out. Overall, these things work well

Bolt extractor

This is a great tool to have when you have damaged bolts. They cut through the head of the bolt and the you can easily extract the bolt. When I was testing it I drilled through the head, . Follow the directions and it will work fine.

SpeedOut Screw extractor

Handy tool for every tool box. Extractors are packaged in a plastic snap shut holder which helps keep these organized in your toolbox. Instructions are straightforward. All screw extractors work on same principle. If the screw/bolt is rusted you might want to use a penetrating oil prior to help extraction process. The extractors are for screw sizes 1/4” to 1/2”and metric 6 to 12mm. Will work with any type of drill.

When you strip out a screw these sets work

Handy to have the full set of 3 different sizes. You never know when you'll need them. They do work but instructions are a bit confusing. The packaging looks good, but i recommend they put the instructions in the plastic black box that holds the bits and puts the sizes for each set on the black plastic box cover. Honestly. Super impressed with this. For as cheap as it is, it does a heck of a job. That being said I’ve only used it once in a lag bolt. I’m not sure if I’d feel comfortable using it on a motor. Because it creates lots of fine shavings. But for extracting a bolt in a non sensitive area. It will get the job done. I was honestly surprised at how stout it is.
