Calibration seems incorrect
Calibration seems off. Have used my prior Scott's spread for years very successfully. It finally wore out and bought a new one this year. Using the same Scott's fertilizer, it runs out before I finish my yard when in the past, I would have some left over. Just finished the 3rd application this season and had exactly the same issue. I am applying the product the same way I have always done and using the # shown on the bag. Wondering if others have also noticed a calibration issue with this ...

Not a good spreader
No way to calibrate the spreader apparently. When I set it on the recommended number setting from Scott's the product is way over applied. I did the 1000 square feet calibration but that still leaves me guessing. Loved my old metal Scott's spreader that lasted decades but this one is not good.

Terrible. Leaves stripes on lawn / uneven spread
Leaves Stripes on my lawn, this is my third Scott’s spreader in 20 years and likely my last. 1st spreader lasted 10+ years, second close to that. This one? I might just smash it so it can’t hurt anyone’s yard again.

Terrible spreader
I bought a new Scott’s drop spreader and a large bag of triple action turf builder. Big mistake. The wheels are not large enough to keep the hopper above the wet lawn..The spreader totally clogged because the bottom got too wet and the material in the hopper wouldn’t go through the small holes. A total waste of time and money.

Never Buying A Scotts Product again.
These products are cheap and do not work properly. Constantly gets clogged. Plastic is fragile. Uneven application of product. It's honestly easier and more accurate spreading what you need by hand, and there is less wastage.

I bought a Scott's drop spreader. The right side locks up when you put grass seed in it. Take it out and it works. Junk don't buy.
