Cant find the stupid spreader settings. How hard would it be to post them on your website?

Works great but.....

A good spreader but I wish it would dissolve all the pesky LUMPS found in Scotts fertilizer bags.

Application amount was way off.

I actually thought it was cool (replacing my very old Scotts spreader finally), but I used the setting on the Wintergard label which is 2 3/4 and it only put down about 1/3 of the product it should have (9lbs on 10,000 sq/ft). So, I could use some help understanding why or if there is a calibration needed.

Bad wheels

I just recently purchased the mini turf builder and the wheels ķept coming loose. I had them on as tight as they would fit. Very annoying.

Great Spreader great Product

I’ve been using the spreader for two years and it works great once in a while overdo it and get spots, but that’s on my own fault but otherwise it works wonderful great spreader spread even, Once you get used to it gets easier and easier every time you use it

Don’t waste your money.

I’ve used this one time and it left stripes all over my lawn. I wish I had read the reviews before buying it. This seems to be a major problem. I had the larger model before and it worked fine. Expensive junk.

Disappointed

Haven't had the striping problems that most others are noting but the spreader cable broke today after just a couple of years of limited use. Have been searching online for a replacement cable with no success. I am guessing that when I finally find one, the cost will be nearly as much as a new spreader. Looks like it's time to go shopping for a different brand.

Product is not built correctly

Absolute terrible spreader it left lines in my yard. I believe the wheels block the product because the rotating s[reading wheel throws the product in the wheels and it just drops straight down and leaves lines.

Scott’s know it’s JUNK!!

Ruin my lawn. Some of Scott’s products require the lawn to be wet or damp. The wheels are cheep hollow plastic pieces of crap. When they get damp or wet and what ever product you’re using clumps up all over the inside of the wheel. Eventually it falls off and causes wheel burns all over your lawn. My lawn is ruin. It’s burnt everywhere. Which is going to cause me to buy Scott’s grass seed to fix all the damage. So maybe that’s what they had in mind when they design this piece of crap. Double dip...

Works well with design tweaks

I've been using this for a couple of years now and there are some tricks I would like to share. 1. You can go a little heavy if you follow my suggestions. 2. The wheels are hollow and will accumulate the product you are spreading if you apply while the grass is wet. You will get stripes and dead patches. To solve this, I covered the wheels with gorilla tape on both sides so the product I am spreading doesn't accumulate inside the wheels. Weed and Feed directs you to apply when the grass is wet...

Horrible Instructions - None Existent!

Absolutely zero instructions on setting use! Several attempts made to locate on-line. Per instructions on website, go to product specs and download. Absolutely nothing to download! Horrible instructions especially for the price paid!

Backplate to feeder assembly missing?

Jury still out. Purchased six months ago, but this morning was first use. Could not find recommendations for setting, or equivalent to other Scott product settings. Did see all the troubling reviews, the one that solved their problem with Duct Tape was invaluable. Before starting, I looked for the problem. Totally obvious, at the rear drop, there is no backstop to the feed. Used a strip of "masking tape to cover the 1-1/2' by 4" gap to serve as a backplate. Test drove down the street to ...

Terrible product. Do not buy. Absolutely no guidance via online instructions. As reflected here by other buys. Your lawn will be spread with stripes. Spend you money on a more sophisticated spreader.

Great for people who like checkerboard lawns

I also have stripes in my yard from using this spreader. All of the other brands that I just looked at has the spreader plate above the wheel. In my opinion the wheels are blocking the fertilizer from being broadcast properly. That may explain why I had so much fertilizer on my shoes

Stripes-are-us!

I have stripes on my yard. It appears the spinning broadcasting disk tilts back and much of the fertilizer just comes out the back. Very disappointed and looking for an alternative, unless Scotts helps the situation. I had a previous version that worked great for years.

Left my yard a striped mess

I bought this spreader a couple of months ago and like other reviewers, my lawn turned into a striped mess. I bought this to replace an older Scott’s spreader that after 20+ years wore out. I NEVER had a problem with the old spreader. I’ve used this spreader twice on different parts of the lawn using two different Scott’s products and got the same striped results.

Ruined Yard

Dripped fertilizer down the middle and now my yard is ruined. We had showings of our house this past weekend and the only complaint from the potential buyers was the yard.
