What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this insulation for exceptional thermal and acoustic performance, noting warmer homes, reduced energy costs, and significantly dampened noise. Installation is remarkably easy—it cuts smoothly, requires no special tools, causes no skin irritation, and fits snugly into tight spaces, making it ideal for DIY projects and renovations. Most customers declare they will never return to fiberglass, citing superior R-value, better durability, and resistance to fire, mold, water, and insects. A few mention blade dulling during large installations, but this minor drawback is vastly outweighed by overwhelming positive feedback.

Fantastic Insulation
Would RecommendRockwool is fantastic! Just put up 35 bundles in the attic crawlspace. Half over blown-in insulation and the other half is double layer for R60. R60 is over the remodeled areas. Even the Rockwool over blown-in is very quiet. R15 on the walls make it very quiet in the new section. Had to readjust air flow from the furnace to reduce it to the 2nd floor because it was getting too warm and also lowered the temp setting. We will see how it performs in January & February when Temps can get into the si...
Great product!
Would RecommendROCKWOOL COMFORTBATT R-30 30.7-sq ft Unfaced Stone Wool Batt Insulation- I highly prefer this over pink fiberglass. Rockwool is much easier to use and it's dense composition does not result in the compression problems inherent with pink fiberglass. Works more effectively as a thermal bridge, also.

Roxul Batt Insulation
Would RecommendI've installed WAY too much fiberglass batt in my life! Roxul is the BEST! High R-val (R-15 in a 2x4 wall). Easy to cut w/ bread knife; allows accurate cutting. Minimal masking required, minimal (if any) itch. Nice fit in standard frame cavities.

Great insulation
Would RecommendInstalled in a house build in 1929, the old pink stuff was falling from the roof and was only R-11. I had to build out rafters with 2 by 3s for extra depth. Rockwool was easy to install, easy to handle, does not itch, and has 30 R-value. This is not a project I plan on doing a second time, so spending a few extra dollars for quality is well worth it.
ROCKWOOL COMFORTBATT R-30 Stone Wool Batt Insulati
Would RecommendI have always used fiberglass insulation in my homes. I purchased a new home where the attic insulation was only about R-21 at best and for the cold winters of the Pennsylvania mountains that just does not do it! The home was always slightly chilly and the heat pump would be going most if not all of the night on a 20F nights! I have read about and was interested in trying the ROCKWOOL for my attic space. They stated R-30, fire resistant up to 2150 f as well as sound reducing which is good, becau...
No Itch DIY
Would RecommendEasy material to work with, no itch. It is a messy material though, much of it breaks apart.

Terrible website- is ComftBatt product any better?
Would Not RecommendRead many positive reviews about RW ComfortBatt insulation; so went to a lumber yard and bought some to try on an exterior wall wood studs insulation project. Foolish me, expecting a company in 2019, to have an easy to navigate website with some basic installation information. “Search here...” OK...let’s try: ‘Installing ComfortBatt’.... “Residential .... SellSheet” (nope). “Ratings....”(nope). “CavityRock....” (nope). “ComfortBatt ...Guidespec” (nope). “Commercial CavityRock (n...

Easy to work with. Holds up better.
Would RecommendNo itchy aftermath to speak of. But best of all you get better insulating against San Joaquin valley heat and mountain cold from snow. We are west facing in the Sierras. 100 to 15 degrees. Excellent product!!!

Would RecommendI have replaced all of the old 1955 insulation in my home and i am working on the last room right now.I'm using R14 for 2 x 4 application inside my walls.I am so glad that i'm using Roxul as it has already shown to lower my heating bills and the accoustics changed right away.I don't hear much noise outside anymore. It is so easy to install and it's not itchy,i'm cutting the pieces with a bread knife. Thanks guys for a great product!

You can't go wrong . . .
Would RecommendUnless you are trying not to insulate something. But, if you are - this is your stuff. And it comes in easy to handle 23"x47"x14" plastic wrapped package. Plus, it does not promote fungi or mildew! Who could ask for more?

Insulation 5 Stars, Delivery 2 Stars
Would RecommendI just finished installing this over the existing blown fiberglass (I only had around 4"-5" of blown insulation that was 20 years old). Installed perpendicular to the studs as suggested as to not mat down the blown insulation too much. The most difficult part was getting all the bags in the attic. I had to move my whole house fan to get a hole large enough to fit the bags. They measured about 21" x 24" x 47". I was also surprised at the weight of the batts over the fiberglass insulation, ea...
Best Insulation
Would RecommendBest insulation, not itchy, easy to cut, and well worth the extra cost. Make sure you have the right blade/knife to cut this insulation and the blade will dull quickly on big jobs.

Millions of tiny fibers hang in the air for weeks
Would Not RecommendBeware. I do NOT recommend this product. I put 4, just 4, of these batts in my attic. It has made a huge mess of the air quality. Several weeks later there are millions of these tiny fibers that still hang in the air. When I go up in the attic first of all I start to cough and it hurts my lungs. I noticed when I got back down from the attic that on my glasses there were hundreds of these tiny fibers 1/32" long or shorter, maybe 1/64". That is what was getting in my lungs and making me cou...
