Fine is Fine

We enjoyed this mulch a lot for not only does what other brands of mulch do, but also being its "fine" without the chunks of wood chips that really helps keeping our dogs as well as neighbor's dogs from picking and chewing/playing with the wood chips.

not worth it.

I just bought 5 bags of this - junk. not what it used to be (triple shredded and nice stuf), now it is bulk pieces of wood, mud/muck and dirt, very little "mulch" they've lost my future purchasing of their outdoor material

Black forest mulch isn't blacl

The mulch is brown and looks dull after only a week. Would not recommend

I have been buying this product for many years. I liked it because it was very dark and double mulched. When I put the first bag down it was very woody, like most mulch. I would have returned it but I expended much effort in going to the store, loading , unloading and finally putting it down. I think I bought 16 bags and will be more careful next year or having the neighborhood mulch man put it down for me. It was a lot of effort for an eighty year old.

Not the same product

I've been using this for years and this is no longer a product that I will use again. Too bad I just bought 10 bags. This has yellow and red chunks of mulch. Not black or fine.

Great Professional mulch

Been using this product for four years and once again this is one of the best mulch's I've ever used. Truly fine cut with NO rocks, boards, or mold.

Disappointed

Have used this Mulch for many years it is quite different now, loaded with lots of chunks of boards and other wood. Poor quality for the price IMO.

Disappointed - Previously a Quality Mulch

Bought for several years and loved, til last year, Wasn't finely ground like it use to be. Had big chunks and quite a few rocks in it-wont buy now

Not same

Used this mulch for years and it used to be very black and fine (almost like coffee grounds). It now has larger pieces and is a definite brown, no longer a black. Bag is smaller. Yard does not “pop” like it used to. Disappointed.

Never again

I used to love this mulch because it was finely ground up and easy to spread. This year I've purchased several bags and all of them were sub-standard quality. They all contained large dirt clods, rocks, and pieces of plastic. Since this mulch is only 1.5 cubic feet to start with, you are paying a lot of money for not much mulch. I won't waste my money on this junk in the future.

Padded with rocks

Been buying this mulch for many years but in recent years, I have found that they’ve been padding the mulch in these bags with large rocks. Has happened one too many times. I’m paying for mulch, not rocks. Switching to a different brand.

Best mulch

Use to get 2 cu.ft. bags but they cut the size 1.5 cu.ft. a few yrs. back supposedly to make it easier to handle as they do get heavy. But they never lowered the price, however they haven't raised the price in over 10 yrs.

Makes my flowers stand out.

I love the black color of the mulch. It makes the green leaves and colors of the flowers just POP!!! I used the same mulch last year and the old mulch had not faded very much.

Great dark mulch for the price

I have been using this mulch for the last several years. I like the consistency of the pieces. In the Fall when I am picking up the leave in my leaf vacuum, the mulch does not clog the vacuum like other larger mulch does. I also like the dark color. Give a nice clean look to my flower beds.

worst I ever purchased

Thought I was getting the same mulch I always buy, but this only stayed black for a day. Put the mulch down, rained that night and now it is brown.
