Beautiful but beware the switch wattage

18x60 watts is 1080 watts. Normal household incandescent dimmers at lowes are 600 w and 1000 w. I smoked mine and the commercial ones at the electrical supply would not fit in my junction box. Had to use 40 watt bulbs. Still a pretty light but that was more work than I expected.

This light is so much better hanging in a room

We thought long and hard about this light bc it was so unusual. It looks unbelievable in the actual room. I would recommend this. Be sure you get a dimmer switch that can hold up to the led bulbs. There were two kinds and thankfully the electrical department customer service representative there was helpful and gave us the heads up. The install was simple!

Such a beauty!

We bought this chandelier for our dining table and it looks awesome! We have vaulted ceilings, which I think compliments the chandelier even more. The lights are a bit yellowish, I prefer white light, but it's the lighting is still so bright.

Beautiful fixture

I saw this as a display and knew it would fit perfectly into my dinning room. After finally having it hung it really brings the room together, seems very sturdy and well made. With that said I have a few complaints, firstly, the bulbs it comes with are 60w which puts off an absurd amount of heat, first thing I recommend is to either switch these with LED versions so save on electricity and cooling your dining room in the summer... or order 25w versions which is what I've done. Must have dimmer

Other reviews were right. The light is beautiful, but the heat and light given off by 16 60 watt bulbs was intense. We added a dimmer and it brought this light from a 5 to a 10.

Beautiful but sucks 1000 watts

This is a beautiful chandelier my wife got me to buy, but it sucks a lot of power. More than 1000 watts. It warms the entire dining room table. I started eating with my shirt off to stay a reasonable temperature. You may need a special 1000 watt dimmer. We don't have it and our dimmer gets hot. Steve

Super cool!

Just installed this in my dining room. Completely changed the look of the room. Was amazingly easy to install. The ceiling cap had plenty of room to hold the excess wire so I could connect everything while the light was sitting on the dining room table. It's not as bright as I thought reading some reviews but is a little bright. I have a 1100W dimmer on the way which I'm sure will help it be perfect. FTR, I'm a real buyer, did not receive this for free.

Great for the price

I love this chandelier. We just purchased a new home and couldn't stand the builder grade chandelier they put in the house. This is very similar to the $800 item I was looking at from ZGallerie. This is a great value for the price. Changed out the bulbs to look more modern, but I love this piece.

Great Fixture, Wrong Bulbs

This chandelier looks fantastic in the small dining room of our mid-century house which has a high, vaulted ceiling. I don't like the chandelier vs table proportions with our small, 4-seater table, but we had already planned to get a larger table to seat 6 which I think will be perfect. If you have a small table and standard ceiling height, you may want to consider the smaller version of this chandelier. Because... Awesome chandelier

This is a very nice chandelier, the style is great if you are going for a mid-century/modern/atomic style. Word of caution as the lights that come with the chandelier draw a tremendous amount of electricity. There are 18 lights at 60 watts each, that comes out to 1080 watts. Two things to consider: 1) If you have a dimmer make sure it is rated to take at least 1080 watts, preferably use one rated higher to where the lights will be drawing 80% of the power through the dimmer, so get at least a 14...

Unique, Not easy to setup, Can get very hot

I love the style of this lamp. It completes my diner kitchen, it's unique, I don't regret it. However, it gets very hot very quickly, the room is very bright, the room gets very hot. If you do not have the right wattage dimmer switch your outlet will get very hot and you could start a fire. Installing this on my angled ceiling was a pain in the butt. Love it!

Based on other reviews, we replaced the bulbs with 25 watt clear globes and bought the dimmer (dimmer around $30, 18 globe 25w bulbs totaled around $30=$60 extra investment). Now the fixture is perfect. Looks better with the lower wattage clear bulbs, as I wasn't a fan of the amber color the original bulbs gave off (just my preference though, it may work for someone else's taste). Ultra cool fixture. Makes any room look sharp. The vintage bulbs that come with fixture might feel a bit hot if ceiling is low.

Extreme heat!

Bought this fixture to place over kitchen island. It's big and stunning. But that's where the good stuff stops. The 18 light bulbs cast a yellow (amber) glow. Made my entire kitchen look yellow. Beautiful Addition

Light was very easy to install. Sadly one of the bulbs was broken but the Lowes I purchased it from replaced the bulb without any problems. Highly recommend (as others have already done) to install an 1100 watt dimmer switch. If you don't install the switch, you'll be able to land airplanes in your room because its very bright! Definitely a statement piece in our dining room!

Beautiful and Modern

I can't tell you how in love I am with this light fixture. I searched for the perfect one for my new house for weeks and finally found it! I am so pleased with it! I do recommend that you get a 1000 watt dimmer to go along with it when you install it because of the wattage it putts off and all the bulbs. But this fixture is absolutely beautiful in my new home!
