Conversation Piece

Great looking fixture, especially for the value. We purchased this fixture for our new home, and it has not disappointed. It was installed over our stairs with little hassle. (Disclaimer: the electricians installed.) Because it is located on the slope of a vaulted ceiling, we did have to modify the base a little so that it would hang properly. Wow factor

Just got this and the installation was fairly easy. I have it in my dining room and when you walk into the room and turn the lights on, it has this wow factor. Definitely a conversation piece because it is not your typical chandelier. The only drawback is that it gives off a lot of heat because of all the lights so it can heat up the room pretty quickly. I will have to look into getting a dimmer for it so hopefully that will help minimize the heat. Other than that, I am happy with it.

Beautiful & Modern Chandelier

This light is gorgeous! I had a handyman remove my old chandelier and install this one in 30 minutes! It is a great statement piece and makes my dinning room/living room look so modern. Not to mention the price is a steal. Most sputnik lights are $600+. This light is so affordable and the quality is great! Definitely buy this light and you will be so happy you did!

Awesome Light

I added that a CON for this light was that it included lights, though it's not a real CON, however we liked the display at LOWES that showed all the different bulbs, so we had to purchase 15 or so of the assorted other bulbs and have 15 of the spare bulbs it comes with.... also, only 2 or 3 types of bulbs are LED.... you have to pay for beauty I suppose.

Makes a design statement!

Love the design,the finish is great and does set the stage in any room as a brilliant centerpiece.Quality could be better but priced accordingly,the Edison bulbs that are included do heat up too much,had a bit of complaints from guests on the brightness and heat it puts out but with a dimmer that can be easily resolved and if you are creative changing out bulbs is also a wonderful option!Overall I am very happy with my husbands valentines day gift to me ,my starburst pendant light !thank you bab...

You get what you pay for...

It is an inexpensive knockoff of a Mid Century look. All the rods were crooked because the male/female screws were epoxied into the rod ends crooked. If you need to use all the rods to hang the light, it's going to look bad. The Edison light bulbs look really cool, but are going to heat up the room. I would have preferred a LED version of this chandelier. And if you don't have a dimmer installed, it's very bright. All 18, 60 watt bulbs! Nothing but problems

I love the look of this chandelier and it looks great hanging up! But...we had nothing but problems once it was up. Every time we turned the light on, a bulb would blow out. The glass part of the bulb (intact) would blow right off the base and then fall to the floor and shatter. We replaced several bulbs and finally talked to a master electrician. His guess was that it was the bulbs, but at $10 a bulb youre going to pay $180 to replace all of the bulbs. We ended up taking the unit back and getti...

Good value if looking for a mid century knock off! I did not use the bulbs included, but rather 25 watt round bulbs, which compliment the fixture better. This allowed me to keep the wattage under 500, and I also installed a dimmer switch, like many of the other reviews mentioned.

What a WOW to my great room!

I purchased this wonderful chandelier when I decided to renovate my living/great room. Went up very easily and made such a statement! I purchased this chandelier for my 1958 mid-century ranch after many months of searching for a period-appropriate fixture for the dining room. Wonderful Light

I didn't realize that fixture is only 24 inches without the large Edison lights and 34 inches with them. I chose not to use the old fashioned lights. It is made of quality materials and was easy to install. The 18 lights are bright with 40 Watt (equivalent) bulbs installed. What a great addition to my mid-century modern home! Love the chandelier.

Outstanding Fixture

My wife loved this fixture, especially after seeing it out in cool places (where it was usually painted to match the decor), so we decided to give it a shot. Our home has a very high entryway, and we were replacing the chain held chandelier in that spot which led to some challenges. Definitely need the dimmer

I bought this fixture after seeing it in the store and installed it in the dining room. I had not realized the 18 bulbs included were 60 watts each and as other reviewers stated that is a lot of power and light. After installation we proudly left it on full for about an hour. Not worth it...

My husband and I had high hopes for this light to be our new dining room fixture. When we got it home something was off. It's a decent sputnik knock off but something about the style of it wasn't right... Also, in my opinion the light bulbs it comes with are not the right look for the fixture. Great value!

98% happy with this product. The ONLY complaint is that when I changed out the bulbs, some of the smaller rounded bulbs do not fit in the sockets, as they are either set back too far or angled oddly in the casing...but this is with only SOME of the sockets and not all - I think it still turned out great and would buy another if I had any place to put it!

Great for a mid century home

We purchased the light to hang in our 1956 home over our Heywood Wakefield dining set. Our local Lowes did not carry the light, so we had it shipped. It arrived well packed in a huge box. We did not use the included light bulbs since we wanted a more mid-century look in our dining room. We used 25 watt 'bullet' shaped bulbs and it looks great. Since the total wattage is now less than 600, we were able to use a standard dimmer as well. Overall we are very pleased with the value!

So many compliments & "Where did you get that?"

Before opening my boutique in Charleston, I knew I wanted the sputnik look. After searching on the internet for over a month & finding only $1500.00 and above prices, I almost gave up. uber-cool "mid-century modern" sputnik light~!

quality looks good for the price~! i found that a little round Sylvania bulb [Lowe's #86644] looks terrific and is less intense [heat and light] than the Edison bulbs included with the fixture.

Beautiful light

Exactly what I was looking for. Excellent. Easy to install. Everything included in the box. I installed it in the garage until the house is ready for it.
