Are these plants healthy for raising Monarch butt?
Would Not RecommendBought to attract Monarch butterflies to lay their eggs on. The several caterpillars we’ve got have gone on to die causing us to suspect these plants have been sprayed with herbicides or are infected.

Would RecommendThis is the big concern - most folks buy milkweed for growing the monarch caterpillars. After reading this I was hesitant and finally put it to the test - IT is caterpilar safe. I am in Tampa citrus park area and have bought dozens from the Dale Mabry Lowes across from the post office. No doubt at all - it is safe and the cats devour the plant. However, what I see in the photos are cats with a form of disease not connected to the plants. I have gotten literally dozens of good strong butter...

Would Not RecommendThis year I started a butterfly garden and bought 5 of these "Butterly Weed" for my host plants. Planted them in the garden and they grew over 3 feet in about a month and a half. They had bloomed a small row of tiny red and yellow bulbs at the top. A few Monarchs would come through for several weeks and appeared to be drinking the nectar and just hanging out.
