Would RecommendMilkweed is a popular plant, sometimes stores run out. It sells fast, as well as the caterpillars eat it. As a result, there are 12 Chrysalis about to bloom into monarchs!

killed my caterpillars
Would Not RecommendLowes (their supplier) sprays pesticide on its milkweed. Dont buy unless you want your monarch caterpillars’ stomach to explode. And then you get to watch their very slow and painful death.

Results on the first day!
Would RecommendI planted my milkweed.....to attract butterflies and the same day I planted it, behold, a monarch butterfly! Yeah!

The environmentalists say to buy plenty of butterfly weed (milkweed) to help with feeding the monarch butterflies, but it is so hard to find. I went back the next day to buy some more, and it was all gone. I buy it whenever I can find it and the larvae go right through it. A nice product, though and very bushy and healthy.Bevi

Healthy
Would RecommendVery healthy plants. Can’t wait for the monarchs to come test them out. Never had a yellow milkweed so anxious to see the flowers. Bought four of them.

Came with its own caterpillars
Would RecommendI bought three of these (South Florida) to plant along with some other plants to attract butterflies and bees to the garden. The plant came with the their own caterpillars who proceeded to eat a good portion of the plants before I got them in the ground! I guest I got what i wanted? May have to buy a few more to feed them.

Monarch Food lil pricey
Would RecommendI raise Monarch butterflies and they ONLY eat Milkweed. I have planted these and they thrive for a bit but caterpillars EAT ALOT! I try to find other sources such as Lowes. Usually have but it is not cheap. Used to have sale or on the sale racks and I would buy what they have. I wish they would go back to going on sale so I can continue try and help the Monarchs the best I can.

Butterfly garden must have
Would RecommendMilk weed is the desired food of choice for Monarch butterflies, those little caterpillars can eat the leaves off of one of these things in a morning...they can get pricey for how many you’ll need to support a lot of monarchs bu they are fun to watch and rear-up and grow.

7$ per pot, butterflies love it!
Would RecommendMaybe too much, they lay eggs and the once the catterpillars hatch under the leaves, they love to eat the butterfly milk weed leaves. I got two, and was told they can grow up to 3 feet in height but so far, really works. Butterflies are fluttering around in my backyard every day since.

DON’T buy
Would Not RecommendBought milkweed from Lowe’s after the healthy and robust Monarch caterpillars in my yard ate all of the milkweed I had purchased from an online vendor. Within two days of eating milkweed from Lowe’s, the caterpillars began to die. I noticed that most of the caterpillars spit up green liquid just before dying. I had thirty or so caterpillars and only three survived. I would give this milkweed zero stars if it were allowable.
